I don't know where you got that out of reading what I've posted. Maybe some of my comments that were meant to be a lighthearted jokes. But to set you straight maybe you missed this post. Goals-equal- Get in better shape, learn to incapacitate 1 or a number of foes if put in the situation, possibly compete, gain some inner peace through discipline of the body and mind (corny I know) but I think it would help calm me down. and yes I would like to be able to kick some ass along with it. If I'm put in a situation that I can't walk away from or to protect somebody else. Have fun on that Highhorse ***Glory Favors the Bold***

It was a combination of things, kickboxing was cool in the fighting techniques....but after a 11/2 year of it I was wondering about all other techniques. I chose Tae Kwon Do is because of the physical & mental (mind and body in harmony with nature & oneself). As well as to know how to behave in all situations. In my opinion tae kwon do give me more self confidence, and it was more of the "code" that I was looking for to live by: Courtesy, Integrity, Perserverance, Self-control & Indomitable spirit. I got my son & my daughter in this....and both of them loves it. The only reason I worry about Tae Kwon Do is the fact that there seems to be one on every street corner, and I am concerned that some of the art may have been lost in the masses. But still nonetheless it is probably just a paraonia. I'm sure there are alot of great instructors. I think I may give the integrated martial arts a try. I think that by combining the best of a few arts you could really be prepared for many situations ***Glory Favors the Bold***

I rarely (almost never) have to incapacitate people in my line of work (accounting). I'm suprised! I thought accountants got all crazy and had lots of bar room bralls. Drink tequilia it will help. ***Glory Favors the Bold***

That's nice but a long way from TX, How long have you been going? What kind of art is it? Do you like it? have you heard anything about mixed arts? Does it make you flexible enough to perform oral sex on yourself? (just seeing if your paying attention) ***Glory Favors the Bold***

I have taken a small amount of Martial Arts, Kung Fu. I liked it alot but moved from the area and never got back into it. I now want to continue and am looking into Integrated Martial Arts. a combination of several styles. Is there anybody that is in this type of form. It seems that there are alot more of these types of places now days. Just looking for some opinions! Thanks ***Glory Favors the Bold***

Pitbull Attacks 6....Why cant people understand?
Diversgodown replied to eeneR's topic in The Bonfire
Ok I'm done! I'm just trying to make the point that a breed in and of itself is not prone to just attack for no reason. Yes when a larger dog with more power attacks there is obviously more damage. But I think it is silly to restrict these breeds to resposible people that will raise and train them properly! I think if you were to look into the areas and the type of people that have owned these dogs that attack, you would find an overwhelming trend. I have not seen any evedince that a dog breed is more aggressive than another the larger dogs just cause more damage. Ok done take it for what it's worth. Not trying to argue just edumicate about a subject I think is blown way out of proportion. -
Pitbull Attacks 6....Why cant people understand?
Diversgodown replied to eeneR's topic in The Bonfire
Because Drug dealers, Gang Bangers, and the such want a "dangerous" dog and don't train them right and abuse them. Why is there more crime in these areas? because of those same people. Read Previous article. ***Glory Favors the Bold*** -

Here are some other demographics for you to look at. http://www.homegain.com/local_real_estate/IL/carpentersville.html?entryid=2811 Looks pretty good on paper but I know from first hand experience that you wouldn't want to live in most of C-ville. I would like to see pictures of the neighboor hood where this happened. I would put money that it is not the nice white picket fence area that looks like in the chart. I could be wrong but I haven't seen these attacks anywhere else than in a Ghetto area. well 98% anyways ***Glory Favors the Bold*** -

Pitbull Attacks 6....Why cant people understand?
Diversgodown replied to eeneR's topic in The Bonfire
I got the exact opposite from that. That they were very unfortunate people because nobody in the neighborhood brought their gun out to end it (or didnt HAVE guns?? that would be crazy; unfathomable). That is my recommendation to that neighborhood, somebody bringing their gun out is the only thing that would've stopped them sooner. Or a multitude of animal control officers arriving instantaneously. I think that the first statment was made with a hint of Sarcasm. Shit everybody probably had a gun but they didn't want the PoePoe to take them away for illegal firearms ***Glory Favors the Bold*** -
Pitbull Attacks 6....Why cant people understand?
Diversgodown replied to eeneR's topic in The Bonfire
Well ok I agree about protecting people, But I'm saying that the situation the dog is in will perpetuate it's nature to protect itself. Just like all creatures will if treated badly for an etended period. Kill or be killed. I'm just saying it is not all the dogs fault, like the media plays it off to be or what people think. I think most if not all of the blame lies in the owners not the dogs. It is not common for any creature to be born and just have an urge to go around attacking people for absolutley no reason. I'm sure there are very few exceptions (rabies, a bear that went mad or a dog I guess for that matter) It is ridiculous to tag a breed for the actions of a few. I guess if we were to do that we should think that all Black people are born criminals and have an inherent risk to be so. Since most of the jail population is made up of blacks. http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/glance/jailrair.htm Which by the way is just stupid ***Glory Favors the Bold***
