Where have you experienced that? There's a lot of foreigners who visit here in Central FL and I've never had anyone get pissed at me because I couldn't understand them. In addition, in the 3 European countries I've traveled to where they speak a different language (France, Germany and Spain) everyone was patient with communication difficulties. Seen it here in Nashville more than once. Mostly Mexicans, but I've seen some of the ones with the dots on their foreheads get pissed before, and I was in Home Depot one day and saw one of them blue men get pissed! I don't know what country they are from, but they are so black that they look blue and always win the Nashville Marathon runs!! (Trying to be non offensive and politically correct)

It must be pretty good to be a foreigner in America! They come here, and expect us to accommodate them by knowing their language and get pissed off when we can't understand them! Bet they won't learn English in their country to accommodate us!!!! Refuse to Lose!!! Failure is NOT an option! 1800skyrideripoff.com Nashvilleskydiving.org

Demo or practice demo - Texas speedway
Jumpdude replied to jlmiracle's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
No. We're unlucky, since that would have been incredible video and a better ending than the jumper cheesing it up for the camera next to his bad mistake! IMO, That was VERY bad taste!!! The TV peeps shouldn't have even given him that little snippet of glory! Refuse to Lose!!! Failure is NOT an option! 1800skyrideripoff.com Nashvilleskydiving.org -

Demo or practice demo - Texas speedway
Jumpdude replied to jlmiracle's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
It looked like he profoundly missed his target! Can't say I've ever seen or done any race track demos at the larger tracks that would have the jumper land that close to the cars, spectators or equipment. There was plenty of room in the grass in the front stretch and Start/Finish line. Refuse to Lose!!! Failure is NOT an option! 1800skyrideripoff.com Nashvilleskydiving.org -
Damn!!! It's not winter time! We can't be bored Skydivers yet!!!

Funjumper.com is a website like a few others that are designed to direct customers like yourself to REAL dropzones and to help prevent people like you from getting scammed like you did. Jan has done very well with that website and she is an incredible asset to the skydiving community! Add the latest in the alias names for Sportations/sLyride, "Bilateral" Refuse to Lose!!! They won't be stopped until someone goes after the partner dropzones that are working with them. A lot of them have dropped Skyride due to non-payments. It's a step in the right direction, even though the DZs got hosed. Serves them right! What the hell did they expect? They get in bed with a known scam, did they expect to not get scammed? Has anyone noticed that the sLyride sites are now being redirected to another domain called weaty.com and that they are back TOTALLY in defiance of the Ga Court order? There's no location, and no "Terms and Conditions" page! And I'm sure if I were to dig further, I could find other stuff missing that renders the site as non-compliant of the court order. and of course, the most recent BBB report shows them as a total Failure!! http://www.bbb.org/atlanta/business-reviews/ticket-sales-events/headband-in-hiram-ga-13003271 Also, it's not hard to notice that the jumpers from the sLyride DZ at Waverly, Tn are featured all over the sites, lead by their ring leader, Jeff Fincher! Damn Cletus! You look like a clown!!! Have a nice day! Refuse to Lose!!! Failure is NOT an option! 1800skyrideripoff.com Nashvilleskydiving.org

The first thing I recommend that you do is to use the info in this BBB report; http://www.bbb.org/atlanta/business-reviews/ticket-sales-events/headband-in-hiram-ga-13003271 and contact your state's Attorney General AND Contact the Georgia State Attorney General. His name is Sam Olens, (according to their website) and his number is (404) 656-3300. Former Attorney General Sidney Barrett was the one who was really prosecuting the case, but I believe that Sam Olens is the AG now. Secondly, I recommend that you dispute the charges with your credit card company, and use the BBB report as part of your grounds for the dispute, and I also recommend that you contact your local network news media, ie; ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS. The local stations usually have investigative reporters just for this kind of stuff, and will get the story out so hopefully someone else will be spared what you are stuck with. Hope that helps. Probably not, they are normally sealed units

Tennessee won't pass it. I can tell you that most likely, you have a bad wheel speed sensor. The part shouldn't cost much over $100-$150 or so. And the Labor should be around $100 as well. (4 wheel drive may effect the overall cost) On a lot of vehicles, the Red "Brake" light is lit when the Yellow "ABS" light is on, so if you fix the problem, quite often, you will fix the other automatically. If a shop is trying to charge you $1200, they are full of shit! That's more than replacing the whole system! Hope that helps.

The Latest Groupon From Sportations
Jumpdude replied to LyraM45's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Groupon lets you ask questions, but they are moderated by the company who is selling the product, in this case, it sLyride's cover name, Sportations. About a year ago, we could post the info in the forums and it was unmoderated, I chased their asses all over the country and posted the info about who Sportations is and gave the proof of the connection to sLyride, then, after over 750 posts by me and others, and the sales were drying up, Groupon changed their system and made it so that the selling company would have the ability to moderate the forums. Now, if you post anything that's true about sLyride/sportations, it will not get shown, but if you post a positive feedback, it may get shown. Some of the posts that are in their forums, are consistent with the sLyride way, same post, different parts of the country. This thread explains that in more detail. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=4158940;search_string=groupon%20endorses;#4158940 Refuse to Lose!!! Actually, Jan is saying something different than Mike. Mike's interpretation is incorrect. As for their being long time members of the BoD, if you believe that carries some sort of specialized weight, then you really need to reassess why their interpretations of the same rule differ. In fact, what you might want to do is really try to understand why each of the two members have the opinions they do. Please take into account the fact Mike has a financial interest in a non-USPA drop zone; the same one he recommended to the original poster. I have absolutely NOTHING to gain by sending someone to Mike's DZ's, I send people to them each and every day via exit links from my sites, and ask nothing in return! I don't know how many actually show up, but they at least click through. So why are pointing out that Mike has a NON USPA DZ? We all know that! Is there a problem with that? And your point is???? All this chatter about how restrictive USPA is just confirms my preference to jump at NON-USPA DZ's! USPA is still just a VOLUNTARY membership club and DOES NOT have the ability to do a ramp check, ground airplanes and/or skydivers, and they CANNOT tell anyone they can't jump! FAA on the other hand can do these things, It's been proven time and time again! If USPA really had this almighty power that some think it does, there would be no such thing as a NON-USPA DZ! All USPA can do is send a nasty letter to a person or worse case, yank a ticket, so, in the event USPA pulls someone's ticket, did they really stop a person from jumping? NO! Go to a NON-USPA DZ and enjoy the freedom! Is a NON-USPA DZ any less safe than a USPA GM DZ? Nope! The FAA is the governing authority that DZO's do have to answer to!! Does having that USPA Membership card in a jumper's pocket make that person a better or safer jumper, HELL NO! Not one bit! Never made any difference to me! I've even done several Demo's without a membership, actually, more without than with, when I filed the event with the FAA, they NEVER asked, nor cared! I do 100% agree that the fear of the legal system has a overbearing effect and causes self imposed age restrictions by DZO's, but if a 10 year old can ride a roller coaster provided they meet the height requirements, why would skydiving be any different. If an individual can PROPERLY fit in the harness, where's the problem? I have PERSONALLY been on a load with a 12 year doing a Tandem, YES, I did say 12! And I can assure you that this individual was not in any more danger than a 16, 18, or even a 50 year old. The TI REQUIRED that the 12 year fit the harness properly before he agreed to take the 12 year old for the jump. A factor that we do have to recognize is state laws, There may be some state laws that prevent underagers from participating in certain activities, but if a law is focused only on skydiving, I would think that it could be challenged as descriminating against a certain venue. Unless something has changed recently, a person has to be 19 to jump at Skydive Alabama, when I asked why, the DZO at the time told me that it was due to the Alabama State law.
