  1. Have a question for you all. There was a post a few months back that had some pics that were all doctored up to be a joke. One was a drunk squirrel with a liquor bottle in hand and a cigarette in mouth, another was a deer hunter in a tree stand with a deer clinging to the tree a few feet above his head. there were more like this. I was wondering if any of you remembered the post and its title. CSA #699 Muff #3804

    landing off

Kinda sounds like the DZO at my second home DZ who ripped a toe off at the Lost Prarie Boogie in Montana a couple months back. It was a pops jump and he tried to make the DZ on a down wind landing in sandles. He hit hard after catching a foot a rock. CSA #699 Muff #3804

    Sit Fly

If your doing a solo sit just exit the plane last and give yourself plenty of time between you and the group before you. This way if you do cork its not a problem going back to belly and starting over. This is what I did and still do if going solo just in case I do cork. CSA #699 Muff #3804
  7. we had a few years back a man all alone on the river who had a beer bottle smash his cooler. He was in the middle of the river and way out of throwing range from the cliffs lining the river. The only explanation he had was that a plane had flown over a few moments before. It must have been thrown from the plane. CSA #699 Muff #3804

    Sit Fly

Once you get it down you should try launching in a sit together. Just interlock your knees together and hold it as tight as a morman girl at the prom. Then release when stable. Its kinda fun when you loose your grip and the other jumper has you by the ankle between the knees causing you to be on your back.u CSA #699 Muff #3804

    Sit Fly

Sounds like my first few atemps. I don't know how you get into position, but I find bringing my knees forward as it to start a back flip and as I start to rotate up bring my arms back and look at the horizon. Then relax and enjoy the ride. I find RW in a sit more exciting than a RW at belly. CSA #699 Muff #3804

    Sit Fly

Did you hit it right or was it more of a lazy boy sit? I did my first free flies this weekend and you know something. I don't see what all the fuss is about. I'm a sit fly man and proud of it.

He said that she was his cousin and that they had grown up together. I'm thinking ok dude your cut off no more drinks for you. I have never jumped a sabre myself but I do like the ride of my civic EX
  20. I would think that most jumpers do at least 1 practice pull before every exit. Another thing you would think he would have noticed moving around in the plane would have been easier without the harness strapped around his body. CSA #699 Muff #3804
  21. We had a similar F*#@ at Fort Bragg where I was stationed who named himself Mickey in the log books. I even had a buddy of mine on a jump who against regs looked at his log for the last packers name and it said Mickey. Back around 97- 2000' when I was there this was just getting resolved and the F*#@ was imprisoned. I was doing a night jump and for sum reason they had us gearing up out in the flight line where there wasn't a lot of light. So it was hard to really inspect your equipment with such little light. Well it just so happened a Jump Master from my Company was inspecting a soldiers' static line and everything looked good to him but, "something inside didn't feel right about it," he later said. Upon closer inspection with a flashlight the static line had been partially cut on the back side and put back in such a manner that it was almost impossible to have detected during the inspection. The cut was placed in the right place as to be covered by the retainer bands that stow the static line. An investigation was done and it was determined if the soldier had jumped that rig the static line would have snapped from all the weight causing a complete mal. At an exit altitude of 800 agl it quite possibly could have killed him. After hearing of this even before the jump many of us where almost going to be jump refusal until our gear could be inspected in better light. CSA #699 Muff #3804
