Who's axing your opinion?

Hayabusa is hanging tough in 4-way. They've lost 5 points to busts, while USA has lost 1 point. Without busts, USA is leading 110-107 after 4 rounds. We are all engines of karma

I truly hate to say this, but +1 Where are the adults that understand math? We are all engines of karma

1)Whats your personal motivation behind jumping out of an airplane. It's a lot of fun, and I like it. 2) What factor does adrenaline in YOUR own skydives. It's not something I personally notice until the end of the day, after 10 jumps or so. Sitting there with a beer in your hand joking with the folks you just spent the day with is always pleasant, no matter how the day went. 3)What factor does pushing your skills to the next level play in your time in the sky I'm pretty type A, and am always attracted to things where I can learn. Finding 3 kindred spirits who feel the same way about 4-way as me is invigorating. There's still a lot of learning (and execution) around that aspect of the sport. Pursuing excellence there is fun and satisfying in many ways. We are all engines of karma

Plan for converting all coal fired plants to renewables
StreetScooby replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
In my experience, most of the people who strongly advocate renewable energy don't appear to have a firm grasp of thermodynamics. While you can't deny the impact of CO2 on the atmosphere, you can deny the efficacy of many of the proposed solutions being proposed, other than giving the government even more control over our lives. CO2 emissions in the US have actually gone down, while CO2 emissions in China continue to grow at an accelerating pace. We are all engines of karma -
I had my procedure yesterday. Specifically mentioned this issue to my surgeon. This is scar tissue related. You just have to work through it. He told me, once I'm through the recovery period, if I get a sharp pain, do that movement again, as it's breaking up the scar tissue. Per chance, is this the second procedure you've had? BTW, I'm very fortunate as this surgeon came highly recommended. I was putting my own socks and shoes on as I left the hospital. Pain is not bad at all, even though procedure was yesterday. Thanks. This surgeon is well recommended, and inspires a lot of confidence in me. But, based upon this thread, I'm going to have this conversation with him. We are all engines of karma

'Bama was pretty beat up. They'll regroup. Let's hope they can play one of those non-SEC teams. None of the current top three teams can stay on the field with a healthy 'Bama. We are all engines of karma

3 Minute Video worth watching
StreetScooby replied to BrianSGermain's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
What I heard was crystal clear - keep your mind calm. Is that an easy thing to do? No, it's not. Learn how to do that. Know thyself, and choose, in a deliberate fashion to push your limits, if you want. We are all engines of karma -

Just a few more comments to what Remster said: 1) Never look under your shoulder, under any circumstances. 2) Arch harder to kill the wobble. Stick your d-k in the dirt, and point your toes at the same time. You'll end up using muscles that you never use in the rest of your life. 3) Be sure and keep your hands under the plane of your chin (like you're already doing). Also, make sure the people you're doing RW with do the same. Otherwise, when you bring your hands down to take a grip, you'll put a pulse into your fall rate, and the whole formation will pulse, especially if you're in a center slot. For 100+ jumps, you're doing great! Keep jumping with that other guy, too ;-) We are all engines of karma

Some advise for the GOP in a changing world

Just to be clear here, I do not watch any TV news. Can't stand either sides' presentation. Chris Matthews, O'Reilly, etc. We are all engines of karma -
Some advise for the GOP in a changing world
StreetScooby replied to CanuckInUSA's topic in Speakers Corner
Considering that reported Fox viewer numbers exceeds all other liberal stations, I think there's something to be said here. Though, every time I see a TV on at work, it's one of the liberal MSM stations. We are all engines of karma -
How would one know if the surgeon cut through a nerve? We are all engines of karma

I grew up in Baton Rouge, and went to every LSU home game from the time I was 10 until I graduated with my bachelors. I figured 'Bama was going to crush them. Mettenberger finally showed up, and LSU played a great game. Too many mistakes against a team like 'Bama, though. Great game, though. Definitely another classic. We are all engines of karma

I'm having this surgery in about two weeks, and this thread has scared me. In reading about the procedure, if the surgeon cuts a nerve, you're in pain for a long time to come. We are all engines of karma

Really? I downloaded all 4-way (open, advanced, and intermediate). The only ones I had problems with were day 2 of intermediate and lower placed advanced teams. 8-way hadn't been uploaded when I tried yesterday. Try it again, and see what happens. We are all engines of karma
