  1. Question - the gun with the grenade launcher. Top of the barrel, at the front near the site. What is that little box? We are all engines of karma
  2. Ok. But, he _always_ drinks alot. More than any cat I've ever had. We are all engines of karma
  3. Very funny. Thanks for the laughs. We are all engines of karma
  4. I appreciate your responses. I'm going to actually start paying attention to the litter tray to see what's there. That's the next step. We are all engines of karma
  5. I prodded his internals today from throat to what's left of his testicles (...actually, stopped just shy of those). While he didn't enjoy it, there was nothing dramatic in his response. My vet will be more than happy to take $500 for what may turn out to be nothing Stanley can't deal with. Been there, got the T-shirt. We are all engines of karma
  6. Gipping is dry heaving, i.e., trying to throw up without throwing up. Good question re: urinating. He his drinking alot (we have one of those continuous flow thingys). He always goes outside, mainly at night. I should check to see if he's eating the food we leave out for him. We are all engines of karma
  7. How much did it cost? We are all engines of karma
  8. My tom cat has been laying low the last few days, in addition to "gipping" pretty seriously every now and then. Prior to this period, he's been on a serious killing spree. Many birds, chipmunks, and other things we weren't able to identify. We're wondering if he has a bone stuck in his throat. Any way to identify this without spending $500 at the vet? Will it dissolve? Any positive thoughts or comments will be appreciated. We are all engines of karma
  9. Thanks for the reply, Darius. BTW - the Muslim/Christian/Jewish observation from my Lebanese friend was more in the context of Palestine. We are all engines of karma
  10. I always thought Schlitz was pretty good. That, and Dixie. We are all engines of karma
  11. I thought you were Glaswegian(sp?). They let you in? We are all engines of karma

  14. Green paper has no value, otherwise, in current economic thinking. That's my understanding. We are all engines of karma
  15. Actually, a lot of what you're seeing right now is the result of Bernanke printing tons of green paper. He's still doing it. We are all engines of karma
  16. It's a how you act. Not you're skin color. We are all engines of karma
  17. Those look like they could be extremely handy. Especially if you're having a heart attack... We are all engines of karma
  18. Doubtful. They continue to use it amongst themselves, and herald its use in their songs. We are all engines of karma
  19. Both sides of my family only use the nigger word when discussing blacks (...my parents are from a very small town in southern Mississippi where segregation is still alive and well). It's actually a bit distressing (...not that I see them all that much). I've long stopped associating skin color with that word. It's much more of a behavior thing in my mind. 20. As did I. Thanks for posting this. We are all engines of karma
  21. Just ask Mayor Daley, in Chicago. The stuff is getting out of hand up there... We are all engines of karma
  22. I looked up 25-Jun-1950. Complete surprise, much like Pearl Harbor, and 9/11. We are all engines of karma
  23. From the looks of it, hockey wouldn't last long if everyone had guns... We are all engines of karma
  24. I read the article about Persia. Very interesting read. Thanks again for posting it. Why are the Arabs so afraid of Persians? That's the one question that comes to mind. There was a period of time that I traveled to Memphis frequently. Started using the same taxi company, got to know the owner. A Lebanese fellow. Very nice. Had an interesting story about how he ended up in Memphis. This was right before and after 9/11. Just before 9/11, he was sharing his take on the Middle East situation, and I'm summarizing: - Muslims are required to pray 5 times a day, including prep time. - Christians and Jews go to church once a week. - As a result, Christians and Jews spend more time doing business, making money. - Thus, the wealth gap that seems so prevalent. What do you make of his opinion/experience? We are all engines of karma
  25. That has happened to me once. I didn't do anywhere near as good a job as you did. We are all engines of karma
