  2. Well from my understanding and correct me if I am wrong, the first amendment only goes until you start infringing on other peoples rights. Such as in this case Slander..... possible but I am no lawer so take it or leave it. 3. ok Bill has a much better way of putting it. I am not a killer or a fighter so please do think that is what I am trying to say. But I would feel very strongly about what they are doing. So you can understand, I am a Marine, I have known fellow Marines who did not come home and I wish there didn't have to be a War. But I would never change it if I could. We are doing great things for the Iraqi people and will continue to do so. It is sad that we must lose lives in the process, but please, don't disgrace the sacrifice that they gave but protesting at thier funeral. This is what makes me mad, protest the war not the soldiers who protect your rights. 5. I am sorry but if someone protested at one of my fellow Marines funeral then I would be facing more then a battery charge. They have no f#*king right to be protesting at a funeral. These people need to be arrested on spot and shot, that way we can go protest at theirs and see how their family likes it. What is this country coming to lately. Yes you have the right to protest and by all means exercise that right but there is a time an place to do it and a funeral is not one of them. Keep in mind that I would not actually start anything with them that just how I feel about what they are doing. 6. MILITARY FOOD CHAIN A young Second Lieutenant approaches the crusty old CSM and asked about the origin of the commissioned officer insignias. The CSM replied, "It's history and tradition ... First we give you a gold bar representing that you are very valuable and also malleable. The silver bar also represents significant value, but is less malleable. When you make Captain, your value doubles, hence the two silver bars. As a Colonel you soar over military masses, hence the eagle. As a General, you are, obviously, a star. Does that answer your question?" "Yes," said the Second Lieutenant, "but what about Majors and Lieutenant Colonels?" "That goes waaaay back in history ... to the Garden of Eden even. You see we've always covered our pricks with leaves." Cool Story

CAMP FALLUJAH, Iraq (Nov. 8, 2005) -- While deployed to Iraq, many Marines of 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, will unfortunately miss important family events that happen only once a year or perhaps once in a lifetime. But one Marine, Lance Cpl. Matthew J. Hutchison, a combat cameraman with the battalion, was fortunate enough to see one of the most important events in his life, his first child being born, via video transmitted across the World Wide Web. He received some help from the hospital and fellow deployed Marines, allowing him to see the birth shortly after the actual event. Jarhead...

Now if that doesn't bring people running to the box office I don't know what will. Sounds like all the really important stuff in most Marine's lives. hey I resemble that comment....... ummm I mean.... cough....... it seemed to be fairly accurate on how we (Marines) behave and talk in our everyday lives, I would think that some of it you would just have to be a Marine to understand. But the general though is right it did seem a little slow even though it was based off a book they could have put a little flair in it. 24. hmmm well I got my answer for those who want to know. Here is what I was told. As long as you are on active duty, with an ID card and not on leave status you are fine. No orders are necessary. I feel dumb for answering my own question..
