And they were a blast! Only problem was I tried to do the belly-flier exit thing when I chased and wound up way high. By the time I got down to the formation my ProTrack went off. Second time I got smart and went into a sit straight out the door. Kept me closer so I could hang out and geek when you went under. We need to maybe pull some stills of boogie jumps from video to share with everyone. And you have to share your & Kris' jump video with everyone. You guys were having so much fun! It's slowly getting better. And being around you and everyone else makes it a lot less painful. Like I told AggieDave, Friday night, around 3am or so I'm laying down and thought about how nice it was to be able to hang with whoever I want, however long I wanted and just be with so many people who care for me and accept me for who I am. I thought about those things and it just sort of struck me... Liz actually did me a favor. She set me free. I am free to completely be myself. I am free live my life the way I want to. I can finally spend quality time with my friends as long as I want. I consider myself so fortunate to be part of sunch a group of wonderful, caring, supportive, warped people. I got my life back and it's pretty damn good. I'm less angry than I was for those reasons. I mean how can I be angry when I received this wonderful gift of friends? I think that is part of why I was in a better mood. I noticed you were in better spirits as well. And if you ever need to vent anything, please PM me. Yep! Definitely. I really liked everyone I met at Skydive Aggieland. Really, really good vibes. I'm gonna try & make the trek up from time to time. 1.5 hours isn't that bad of a drive. Whoop!!! What a great weekend! Skydive Aggieland put on a really wondeful boogie. First off, I want to thank AggieDave for being a wonderful host and offering his place to myself, Ramon & Levin. Even though you were busy most of the boogie, the couple jumps we did were great! And kudos to Ramon & Levin for offering free freefly coaching and organizing to everyone. Catfish also offered CRW organizing and coaching. Skydive Aggieland's staff worked hard to make everyone feel at home. Besides all the great jumps, it felt more like a gathering of good friends (and it really was) than a boogie. It was a really cozy atmosphere and I felt right at home. I think everyone else did too. Lots of dz.com folks showed up... freaksis, Chris (I'm brain dead right now so I forgot you or nick), Gemini, AggieDave, moodyskydiver, Levin, Ramon, AndyMan and probably a buttload of others I'm brainlocking on. It was great to see some old friends again & put faces on some others. Some highlights for me... a couple of really fun hybrids, some great freefly jumps with Ramon, Levin, AndyMan, AggieDave and a whole slew of otjher folks. Hanging out late, shooting the breeze with everyone and watching videos from the day. Meeting some really nice Aggieland people. I had a really wonderful time. I'm already looking forward to next year's boogie! Mine too. The sick part about it is he doesn't send them out... his automated software does. He just sits back and collects checks from the companies who hire him. The other thing to note is that as recently as a couple years ago the vast, vast majority of network traffic on the internet was email. It may still be, but with all the streaming crap and file-sharing it may not hold the lead by quite as much. My point being, if email makes up a large portion, if not majority, of internet traffic, and you get way, way more spam in your inbox than legitimate mail, imagine how much better network performance would be if spam were eradicated. Hmmmmm...... packing - average speed-wise. I like to pack at least one line twist every jump though. exits - pretty good free-flying - pretty good relative work - way, way, way sucky spotting - OK CRW - never done it I've definitely taken to freefly better than just about anything. It's something that just sort of "clicked" with me... both in terms of flying and general mindset. I'm no skygod or anything but I'm happy with my progress so far. Despite my recent bitching (thanks all for putting up with it BTW) there's only a few of things I'd do differently. 1. I'd have started skydiving way earlier.With what money I have no idea. 2. I should have run like Hell when I first met my ex. 3. I'd have crashed at my friends' places the two times I got DWIs while going out on late-night munchie runs. I forget where I saw it, but it's my understanding that they use the website to encode messages to their field operatives. The may change a color here, a picture there, use some phraseology that contains code words. It's brilliant actually. No need to make direct contact and possibly compromise information.
