If you go down south in the WSMR, you can actually go to 'Transformer City' Where they filmed parts of the first Transformers (probably the second as well) I wouldnt suggest removing any of the white sand... its illegal ya know Why's it always about black and white with you? There's a tram up to the top of Sandia Peak too. There's a restaurant/bar at the top. There are great motorcycle runs out there, but this time of year it's probably not an option. Watching the river from the bridges is cool too. IIRC, Sandia Labs has a mini- display area open to the public that shows what type of work is done there - at least the unclassified work. Kirtland AFB might have something open to the public too. . Kirtland AFB isn't too big of an attraction for me since I'll be working there for the next 2 weeks. What does Sandia Labs consist of? What about open to the military? Any ideas? I'm here for weapons training and will be here for 2 weeks for 2 different courses, but the courses have long hours so I'm pretty much limited to about 2 or 3 days to explore. I should be able to bring my two 10x10 popups and the old yellow PD tent down as well. Just need a sledge hammer and someone willing to swing it, cause I aint. Be careful where you put your popups... with the expected increase in numbers for this year, have you considered getting a shower trailer for the campers or anyone else who might need one? (i.e. swoopers who go swimming, pie receivers, etc.) I know the building there has 2 of them, but it couldn't hurt to add a few. Just a thought.

Just been waiting for someone to ask. A 15x15 frame tent is $150 they usually throw in the side for me for free. Sizes and costs go up from there. I supply a large packing tent, 40x60 or larger, at the event but if you will be hanging out with a few people it is nice to have a private place to put all your stuff and it can double as a place to sleep. I have a feeling that I may regret asking this later, but is there anyone besides RastaRicanAir interested in going in on a tent? If we can get some more takers, I'll go in on one.
