nevermind guys, i got it to record the video in color. i cant use the s-video out i guess. had to use the video out on the dvd instead. but now i got to figure out why the sound is only mono channel

Welcome, my first is tomorrow morning. have fun in AFF. funds hold me back till end of july for aff and A liscense training. If u ever get a chance to come towards the DFW area in Texas. there is Skydive Dallas about 3-4 hours away from you. I forsee myself being there alot even if its just to watch. If ur ever going out there pm me in advance and i can be there. its about 1.5 hours from me so at least a day in advance. a week would be even better lol good luck on the first jump. and watch ur step its a doosy ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! ok... im recording from the dvd player using the s-video port on the player to the a/v input on the side of the camera. now the sound records perfect! the video is great quality(just like the tv) but my problem is that everything is recorded on the mini dv tape as black and white. I have looked through the manual and found nothing on this in trouble shooting. has anyone else done this? have u ever experienced this? My dvd player is a 1999 Apex that has a loopholes menu(they got recalled because of this) it allows me to turn off macro so i can record. I have recorded in the past to a vcr and never had a problem with it being black and white. so i assume its something i can fix via the camera. the reason im doing this is because when i do my first jump it will be on a dvd and i plan on transfering it to the camera and then to the computer so share with friends on the net. any help is greatly appreciated!!! he is riding a 1000. no need to change teeth. plenty of power but like u i have a 600 and i did just that. drop 1 up front and added 2 to the back. much better on the low end. wouldnt go back for nothin! ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! DoNt MiNd ThE tYpOs, Im LaZy On CoRrEcTiOnS!

the back brake is for emergancies only! lol but i would cover it just in case u needed to use it. that split second could save u from looping out. Engine braking is all u need to bring u back down. slightly close the throttle and as its coming down either ease back into the throttle to soften the landing and right after contact switch to the next gear cause the rpms will be high at this point, or let it come down naturally and pull in the clutch so u wont have the sudden slow down that could end up making u loose balance and falling over the front lol... that would suck but if u have all ur gear on and ur in a parking lot and u were going less than 30 i would have to say i would get a good chuckle if u went over the front and then id go help u get up EDIT: i added a pic of my bike, no action pics though :( ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD!
