In Canada I would propose to move them all to the restricted category. That would mean they can only be fired at approved ranges, can not be used for hunting or shot anywhere outside of federally licensed ranges. Also makes storage and transportation more restricted compared to non-restricted firearms. That way they stay available for those who want to do 3-gun competitions, or just play with them on the range.

ARs are prohibited, so can't find new homes for them. Once a new proposed bill comes into effect in Canada, likely this fall, you also won't be able to transfer handguns to anybody. Which means they cannot be sold, or gifted, or transferred to anybody. They will all become worthless overnight and you won't be able to find new homes, or pass them down the family. I am all for reducing the number of ARs in the hands of those who shouldn't have them. Hence, in stead of buying back tools which are extremely unlikely to be used in any crime, use that money to combat the smuggling of guns. Smuggled guns are by far the main problem.

Maybe, maybe not. And we don't know what the extraction rate would be at that time. So really, there is no way to extrapolate anything related to Peak Oil from the "recent discovery" of these oil reserves.

Many MBA specializations that have nothing to do with macroeconomics. And a generalized MBA teaches the basics across all specializations. So no, an MBA doesn't automatically mean you know a thing or two about macroeconomics. That being said, not sure what your post refers to? Did Biden say maybe you are not in a recession? If so, he might be wrong. But probably not as wrong as claiming COVID will just go away by itself.

"Peak Oil" can only be established after the fact. Discovering new oil reserves could or could not have anything to do with Peak Oil since it is defined by extraction of oil. Hence this discovery cannot really be used to decide if it will have any impact on whether we are at Peak Oil or not.
