  1. Who says the corner is turned the same way every time? Who says the distance between corner turning is equal every time? You are obviously a liberal.
  2. And on the flip side of the same coin: You will never know what you are missing not having children.
  3. Dying is only one option and quite frankly the cheapest option. Yet if you have dependents, I think you should ensure that they are taken care of when it happens. The expensive option is a prolongued hospital stay with many operations and a long rehabilitation period after. However, this is not an uncommon occurence for skydivers and BASE jumpers. If you are wealthy enough to self insure, great, though it is economically not the best option, not even close. I still hold that skydiving or base jumping, while having dependents and not have any insurance is utter stupidity.
  4. I think that skydiving without insurance and with dependents is utter stupidity. I am with Ron on the whole skydiving vs. debt issue. Flame away.
  5. Ahh yes, I take it you missed his other posts about how strong he is and how much weight he can lift and how good his body looks etc etc etc. He is just sooooo cool, I wish i could be like him.
  6. ohhh Steel, you are so cool. You work out and are really strong. Ohhh I wish I could be like you.....
  7. That is awesome, congratulations!!!!! My son was born just over three months ago, and it has be the most amazing experience....ever...... It just keeps on getting better.
  8. If it was so bad, why did you stay here for a full two years?
  9. Ohh so flip flops are only bad when a presidential candidate does them?
  10. Would that be the same as a John Ashcroft flip flop lie?
  11. Funny thing.....In Canada we slightly restricted the ownership of firearms and made people register their firearms in the previous year. The program was/is a complete boondoggle, but guess what, violent crime went down by (off the top of my head) 6% last year. By the logic portrayed by the pro-gun people on this forum, I guess I would have to say that it is obviously working.
  12. great, so if the US says only one gun per household in the US, they are not taking guns from you? Well, it would seem that argument doesn't work in many other places, it has never really been tested in the US. So far its "track record" is not supporting your position. Ohh, don't forget your white house is white because we beat your ass and burnt it. touchy, touchy
  13. That is such a bullshit argument. Iraq had a bigger gun culture than the US, even Saddam did not dare taking the guns away from Iraqis. Funny enough, it is the Americans who are taking their guns away, since it hinders the democratic process. Go figure.....
  14. Nope, already stated my position on that, have no interest in doing it again
  15. Ahh yes, the infamous, if you haven't been there you can't say anything about it, argument. Since you have never been president of the united states, you therefore should recuse yourself from making any comments on the job Bush is doing. Good or bad. Since you have not been to Iraq, you really should recuse yourself from making any statements regarding Iraq. Since you have never searched or found WMDs you really should not be making any comments about that. I can go on and on and on. That argument doesn't make any sense whatsoever though. Next, for those claiming the 16 year old was doing something that he shouldn't have been doing in the first place, so getting killed is his own fault. Any of you ever pulled a prank on some one. Like going over to their house and TPing their car, or anything similar like that. If your buddy ends up getting shot and killed doing that, would you still be saying the same thing?
  16. I think you may have forgotten the word "out"
  17. Most of your points are well taken, Ron, eventhough I may not agree with all of them. I have never even held a gun, ever in my life. I wouldn't mind trying it once. I am however happy, that I have been lucky enough in life to have lived and continue to live in societies where we generally do not feel the need to arm ourselves for protection. I guess in a lot of ways, this all comes down to cultural differences.
  18. That argument is a touch too simple in my book. Since it would be just as easy to reply, that it is BLATANTLY obvious the boy would not have been dead if the man did not have a gun.
  19. wasn't there a line somewhere about if something wan't specifically forbidden it automatically became a right? If he wasn't innocent, he therfore had to be guilty. Are you saying he deserved to be shot? Could not agree with you more.
  20. You are right, it isn't very noble at all. Certainly deminshes the validity of your argument.
  21. It has been fairly widely reported, both in media as well as on these forums. I really don't care if you chose to believe it, or chose to just disgard it without thinking about it. All your choice...... Some things people post on here, get me to read up on ctain view points and occasionally make me chance my mind. This is not a court of law, it is a discussion forum. Take from it whatever you want, even if that is being true to your name and hiding in your shell.
  22. so you detest the man for what he does, yet use the same tactic when it conveniences you? Very noble.
  23. Having trouble locating google?
