Funny, it has been the opposite for me. Some of that sentiment has even come forward in this thread. Skydiving is extremely cliquish, with constant reminders how skydivers are better than other people. The constant forming of groups within the larger community, all thinking they are better, cooler and/or more bad-ass than the other groups. Many skydivers like to constantly claim they are individuals and do as they please, but then desperately try and hang on to their group. Even here it is evident, not only in the main forums, but more specifically in the creation of a forum specially for one group. You do not get included in the skydiving world if you just show up and jump on a dz. It is rife with politics, rampant drug use and filled with large groups of people who need to constantly "prove" themselves. Those are the three main reasons I have stopped jumping. Those same reasons also seem to be drivers behind the "slow slide" in the non-specific forums of this website.

Bastard!!!!!! I think it is around $18 here, which would still fall in the cheaper wines. (My drink of choice lately has been a rice vodka that is amazing to drink. If you ever get a chance to pick up a bottle og Kissui Vodka from Japan, buy it, you'll love it. The fucking idiots at the LCBO have decided to stop selling it, so I am stockpiling lol)

Right, so if he goes with a $7,000 deductible, and has 5 hospital visists that each cost $6,500, his math would look significantly different. (and 5 hospital vists with a small family would not be unheard of)

Is Joran Van der sloot giving it up? Natalee Holloway disappearance.
SkyDekker replied to ifall's topic in Speakers Corner
The question still remains if he actually killed her, or if he disposed off her body after she died an accidental death. -
I think you'll find that most of those would still not give up the current Canadian system, but would rather see a hybrid version. A version where the current level of health care remains, but where private clinics and hospitals are allowed to excist. This would allow those with the means to afford it directly or through additial health insurance to seek care from a private facility and would reduce wait times in the national system. Lawrocket, in response to a later post you made in this thread regarding health insurance and premiums. Is the deductible cumulative on an annual basis or is it per occurance? If it is per occurance, your math looks completely different if you factor in multiple hospital vists below the deductible limit.

So what if she gave him head, was allergic to his cum, throat swells up, she dies. he gets panicky and the rest of his story might be true. Highly improbable, but certainly not impossible. I have a hard time calling for the lynching of this (I think certainly a scumbag) guy, untill more facts are known. -
Four U.S. Soldiers Rape and Kill a 14 Years Old Girl
SkyDekker replied to Botellines's topic in Speakers Corner
Funny enough, the US has and had a big hand in a large majority of the dead in those mass graves. You seem to all of a sudden conveniently forget that the US supplied many of the tools Saddam used to kill those people. I have a hard time believing the US supplied those tools and didn't know what they were going to be used for.... -
When it comes to Shiraz, I'll take the Rosemount over the Yellow Tail any day. (Personally I like Angus The Bull or Pey de la Tour better as relatively cheap wines)

I am with you on that one.... On the other hand, I am convinced that the prevelance of allergies these days is due to the sterile environment people want to grow up and live in.

Sounds like you live very close to where I work.....

Plane on a treadmill experiment on Mythbusters tonight
SkyDekker replied to Conundrum's topic in The Bonfire
If the conveyor belt matched the speed of the wheels, the plane would never move, no air would flow over the wing and no lift would be generated. If the conveyor belt matches the speed of the plane..well the whole scenario is different. -
Thanks for posting something in perspective!!!! reading a bunch of those holier than thou posts prior was a little sickening....

Scotland: Attempted murders with guns triple in decade
SkyDekker replied to JohnRich's topic in Speakers Corner
Yup, they are when walking down the streets, shopping, going to school, going for runs. They do have rifles in their homes. Most with little to no ammunition and locked away in such a way that the midnight intruder is going to get to them long before they can get to their army issued rifle. -

Lol, took her down the hill on the toboggan. She loved it, but wasn't very fond of the snow spraying in her face as you can see from the expression on her face. Her and her brother love the snow. Get them bundled up, vaseline on their faces and play for hours.

I just went through my camera and found this picture of my daughter. How could I say anything other than: My life is great!!

Should Europe and the rest of the world disarm the USA

A great student of History would realize that even the Roman Empire fell. -
Should Europe and the rest of the world disarm the USA
SkyDekker replied to Skyrad's topic in Speakers Corner
You are having a hard enough time (actually it appears to be practically bankrupting the country) with two countries, while you are actually getting help from other countries. What makes you think you can defeat the whole world on your own? -
Should Europe and the rest of the world disarm the USA
SkyDekker replied to Skyrad's topic in Speakers Corner
Not forgetting, remembering that times are "slightly" different now compared to WWII. (You do realize you are reacting exactly the way Skyrad would have wanted you to, in exact bully fashion
