But the IF is definitely there, which makes the snarky title of this thread pretty idiotic.

I just sent her $5,000 so she can come to North America...so stoked.

Interesting PBS article on healthcare costs and outcomes

And not recognizing that theer are multiple spokes to this wheel is a non-starter as well. I agree that ditching all blame on doctors is assinine. absolving them from blame is assinine as well. -

In Canada we have to conform to the fire code and any building permits have to be approved through the fire department. You are comparing preventative measures with acute emergency measures. -

So it is easier for the Doc to prescribe and they get benefits in return. Indeed, the doctor plays no role in this at all. -

Stop prescribing the quick fix and take away the benefits doctors get for prescribing medication. Specially benefits linked to number of prescriptions written. -
Or you click on "continue to website".

I guess it figures you would not question or research independently from what you are told.

Really, then who is prescribing the medication? Somewhere a doctor is aiding this process. -

That depends on how you define health care. If you include preventative care, then there is a certainly an argument to be made that the health care systems carries some of the blame. It appears to me that your system really doesn't focus on the preventative side of health care. That seems to be left to TV programming. -

The question becomes what you want your healthcare to do. Do you want very high quality healthcare available to some, or do you want lesser quality available to many? I like a hybrid system that combines both. A base system of public health care with an option for private health care. Say a Canadian health care system with a private health care system laid on top. -
Candy Crowley Admits Romney Was Right About Libya
SkyDekker replied to regulator's topic in Speakers Corner
How the government reacted and what the act is called are two different things. Surely the average American understands that? -
They want him to? He was saying that at this point in time, negotiations would be futile. He would have to take a public stance and would be unable to move from it due to the elections. Since that is not a very effective way of negotiating, it is better to wait until after the elections, since he has more flexibility. Pretty common sense.
-
Sorry, I don't understand the outrage. He does have much more flexibility to negotiate on missile defence after the election. During the current campaign it would be almost impossible to negotiate anything like that. Unless some idiot completely takes the statement out of context. But then I'm sure some are stupid enough to do so.

If there was such intel, it would be good to find out why it wasn't acted upon. There might be valid reasons, there might not be. Wouldn't be the first time people died as a result of politically driven niaction. Sometimes it is even the right thing to do. A deliberate attack in a war with 4 dead as a result isn't that deadly. Both sides have done much worse. -

Who cares what it is called? If the issue is that intell existed and wasn't acted upon. Fine, that is a problem, seems like that particular problem had a less severe result this time. This argument about what it was called is idiotic. -
I pitty the women in your life. One squeeze results in continuous discharge.

Yet Bush got re-elected. Many more people died in that terrorist attack. -
Interesting thought, since abstinence is mostly a religous right bright idea.

Why the Economy Will Never Recover with Obama as President
SkyDekker replied to Gravitymaster's topic in Speakers Corner
Then what is the problem? Sounds like business is doing well. Cash flow management is certainly a decent part of running a business. As you indicated before, since you failed to direct enough resources towards your AR department (business decision), you had to apply for an emergency loan (cash flow issue), with additional costs.(business issue) -

SkyDekker replied to Gravitymaster's topic in Speakers Corner
lol. I am responsible for $1 billion worth of assets. If I manage cashflow so poorly I need emergency funding, I am out of a job. I don't get the option of an emergency loan. That's not what I said. By the way, this is the same concept as what happened in The Netherlands a couple of decades ago. As a form of job creation, the government forced shorter work weeks. In stead of hiring new people, businesses improved employee productivity. In the end, more jobs were not really created, but it did make Dutch worders some of the more productive in the world. In this case it is market driven, not governmment driven, but the result is the same. If you are unable to do the same in your business, it really isn't Obama's fault.
