  1. Yep. Here is a little help. Canada by city just one American city about the same size as montreal Those all link to ethnic breakdowns. Ethnicity and race are not the same thing. Again, what exactly is your point here? Toronto is one of the most multi-ethnic cities in the world. More multi-ethnic than Chicago or probably any other major US city. Are you suggesting that dominance of one race is an issue, or dominance of an ethnicity? (I ask since you appear to be constantly confusing the two)
  2. So the object itself had noting to do with it? You seem to try to want to make a point here. What is the point? Toronto is one of the most multi-ethnic cities in the world.
  3. I don't think Canada is setting an example, nor do I particularly care what the US does with regards to Syrian refugees. Seems you are the one most upset by any comparison.
  4. Almost 50% of the population of Toronto is foreign born. Let's compare that to Chicago with just over 20% foreign born. Chicago and Toronto have relatively similar climates. So showing a gun in a potentially violent situation has never led to the situation ending peacefully?
  5. Is there a truly safe direction at a busy show in a hall with concrete floors?
  6. Why is it that Americans are so much more violent and murderous than their closest cousins the Canadians? We watch the same movies, listen to the same music, play the same video games. Our societies are pretty similar, yet we tend to go on less murderous rampages. We don't have the death penalty and our prison sentences are smaller and prisons easier to be in. Is it really only the weather? Lastly, how can a gun stop violence, but never lead to violence?
  7. Not sure why people are so upset, isn't this exactly what your 2nd Amendment intended? These people truly believe that they are dealing with an out of control government that they need to stand up to. Like I said, exactly what the 2nd amendment is for.
  8. Wrong again. My first post on the matter...so clearly not part of this "all".
  9. Except that is not what happened. You suggested a compromise. The reaction you are getting is because previously you have stated that you are not in favour of compromises and people should just follow the law. When I say I hate beer and then suggest we go and drink beer, people will likely respond wondering why I now want to drink beer.
  10. Not really sure I am understanding your point. You have always maintained that you feel that everybody should follow the law, regardless if they agree with said law. Now this is no longer the case because other people don't think the same way you do? Or have you simply found something where you don't agree with the law and you don't have the same opinion anymore?
  11. It's not called "infanticide" because it isn't. Pure and simple. A fetus is not an infant. Nor is an embryo. Those three stages of human development each have separate definitions. Neither the embryo nor the fetus is "self contained", they are fully dependent on the host (mother) for survival. Who is being purposefully naive? If a full term baby is born placed in a crib and not fed it will die. It is fully dependent on someone for half a dozen years...... They are fully dependent yes, but not on the host. Anybody can step in at that point. Yes, that does make a difference, maybe not to you, but to definitions.
  12. Ah, so do you not think it is a good compromise? Or is the liberal way of thinking appalled that it tried and was not able to force compliance of its wishes, in that, her name, specifically, is no longer associated with a document that represents something that goes against her religious beliefs? Violating the law enacted by the state legislature is a "compromise"? If the legislature amended the law, that would be a compromise. If Obama made a decree that violated law enacted by Congress, would you call that a compromise? Why don't we ever see this kind of pushback from you guys when Obama does the equivalent? Or did you forget that he simply won't enforce the immigration laws as they stand? Why don't we see you commenting about how people should just follow the law in this case? The answer apareth to lieeth withinth.
  13. That doesn't show growing anger, it shows accelerating retardation. Here are some more signs: A Nevada lawmaker who believes cancer is a fungus, treatable with sodium cardonate [sic] http://thinkprogress.org/health/2015/02/24/3626567/nevada-assemblywoman-cancer-fungus/ Or this AZ lawmaker who believes the earth is 6,000 years old, who is now going to lead an Education Panel: http://www.12news.com/story/news/2015/12/21/arizona-legislator-who-believes-earth-6000-year-old-leads-education-committee/77715744/ These people actually win elections...

Or is the liberal way of thinking appalled that it tried and was not able to force compliance of its wishes, in that, her name, specifically, is no longer associated with a document that represents something that goes against her religious beliefs? What is wrong with just following the law?

  16. Wow. Aren't you the little bully wanna be authority figure. Go about your way and don't bother anyone. Got that? Says the guy who believes people who don't think like him are sociopaths.
  17. Prime example of the subject of another thread in SC. He believes opposition to his points is further proof that his points are valid.
  18. Just look at how many here have no problem calling Hillary a cunt, bitch etc. To them Trump is probably a hero, finally speaking the truth, without all this PC crap. He definitely hits where it stings. And doesn't pull any punches. Call me crazy, but I like a diplomatic side to my leaders. Unfortunate how in the US diplomacy seems to have become synonymous with weakness.
  19. Only if you are a Republican In your mind anyway Yes, that is why he gave a pretty wide range of examples spanning the political spectrum....
  20. I am just trying to figure out when it isn't murder in your opinion. Plan B, is that murder? IUD, is that murder? Obesity is that murder? When does it go from simply preventing to murder in your opinion? If you take the risk, take the responsibility. Puppies and kittens included. Nice motherhood statement, just doesn't answer the question. Not surprising. You sure you and Rush don't share the same computer?
  21. Which would make your society almost more violent than Somalia. Hard to believe that by just crossing the border into Canada these things barely happen. To fuggin cold there to do anything but hope that the state welfare is enough. Yup we are all on welfare up here.....
