  1. Am I missing something here? Appears you are calling Wendy a massive fucking hypocrite, which I don't think is true, nor called for.
  2. What started with wanting to build a wall to keep the world out has turned into building a wall to keep a Americans out. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/white-house-adds-new-fencing-around-perimeter-n1225296
  3. This is an example of the ongoing and systemic racism that most people don't even recognize: https://twitter.com/ComplexSports/status/1268551040074383361?s=20
  4. Do you even consider how much systemic racism plays into being poor and how poverty often leads to crime?
  5. Nope. But I have rarely, if ever, seen energy policy by a democratically elected government as a determining point of a Banana Republic.
  6. Our energy policies do indeed put a strain on outside investment. Not sure how you think that is the same as having unidentified federal troops patrolling your streets.....
  7. Then you miss a lot. When somebody's tone significantly changes form their normal, it is generally a decent time to try and figure out why that might be.
  8. And then there is the Aubrey case. and then..... and then.... and then.... ad nauseum
  9. Not surprised you dig up a 5 year old article on the day it came out one of your brethren executed a black man for jogging, then stood over him and called him a fucking nigger. Canada has taken some steps in those 5 years, including a federal truth and reconciliation commission. Our history with the indigenous population is troubled to say the least. Racism is alive and well in this country and lots of people are working hard to try and change that. Living on native land, married to a Metis and bringing up a black step-son I am constantly reminded of the institutionalized racism and my frequent inability to recognize it. It takes hard work and very honest conversation.
  10. There is a pretty regular poster here on dz.com who likes to tell those jokes quite a bit. There are even more current and former posters here who consider him a friend.
  11. Pretty sure I have not claimed Canada doesn't have the same problem. Canada does have a similar problem. We do have less LEO killing unarmed black people.
  12. Bullshit. You constantly give credibility to people who have used language like that. The only reason you refuse to read it is that it doesn't square with what you already have determined.
  13. I think we can add unidentified federal troops to the list of signs of a Banana Republic.
  14. On top of that, Trump supporters, specially those who claim to be on the fringe of support, say that they like how he "says it like it is", that he doesn't talk like a politician. That Political Correctness is killing the country, and all that nonsense. Now, when somebody says it like it is, they find it insulting and not befitting commentary of a president. All of a sudden, somebody "saying it like it is" is not a good thing.
  15. Thanks! added it to my list
  16. He also claimed "they" told him the church was boarded up, but "they" didn't tell him there were protesters.....
  17. Another indication of how black people do not get the same care and representation.
  18. Not disagreeing with you. They tend to be poorer because of the persistent racism being protested against now.
  19. Interesting stats. Now for that to mean something, you really should compare that ratio to the ratio between black and white in the population. Now, when you do that comparison, what do you think it will show?
  20. I will ask you the same question I asked turtle, when that many people react the same way, is it them or is it you?
  21. lol Not sure if you have ever posted anything as clueless as this.
  22. Did you see the picture at the top of the article? Do you know where the neck is on a human body?
  23. I know that last time Trump went to that same church he went in a motorcade. Yesterday he decided to walk, likely in direct opposition to what the Secret Service would have recommended and highly likely against their policy. If he could have military police shoot at protesters so he can walk across, I am sure he can ask the secret service not to take him to the basement. But sure, keep trying to twist yourself into knots to justify Dear Leader.
  24. That assumes training. From what I have read, there seems to be near universal agreement that the knee to the neck is not trained.
  25. Interesting, the president is controlled by the Secret Service. Is that the Deep State people keep talking about?
