But correlation doesn't mean causality. It may simply be that people with the personality that prefer to cohabitate before marriage are simply more likely to bail out of a marriage when it doesn't suit them. If you removed cohabitation as an option from them, they might even have a higher rate of marriage failures. Personally I think people get too hung up on symbols and titles as it is. My best friend has lived with the same woman for over 12 years now and while they aren't married(and likely never will be) they're in a happy and committed relationship. But anyway, the studies and facts page have a very "cohabitation, just say no" ring to them like they're less science and more agenda.

Nein. Ich habe Spamassassin.

LOL, maybe the girl that's his perfect match will need to give up one weekend to find him.

No buzz really, I just enjoy it. Solo's or with other people. Freeflying, belly, hop and pops, HAHO's. Good weather or when the field is all muddy. When I land on the peas or hit the swamp smelling water ditch 30 feet in front of it and get all muddy. And when the whether sucks I like to lay down in the packing area, prop my head up on my container and just chill out. I like it all. The sport just has so many aspects to it. The thrill of the jump, the peace of being under canopy, the antics at the DZ, the DZ parties, you can travel all over the US and jump anywhere you go(even though I don't, it's nice that it's an option) and on the slow days you just kick it back, lounge around and scope out the hot tandems. But maybe it's just because I don't have anything better to do with my time.

Exercise works. Also, don't watch TV, read books or do anything in your bed except sleep. That trains your mind that beds are for sleeping, not doing other things. Removing caffeine from your diet can also help.

Okay, this is *literally* "fucking" pathetic!

I hate them because they pretty much kill the sensation. It's like kissing with a plastic bag over your head. They need to invent a male version of the pill or something. -
If I'm not on call that weekend, definately.

Weddings are a waste of money for the bride and groom. They're averaging 15k a pop for a cheap one these days. You could put down a nice downpayment on a house or piss it all away trying to start up your own DZ.

I used to be a coke fiend, but gave it up because I didn't need the caffeine or calories. Now I drink lemonade fairly often and root beer(has no caffeine) as a rare treat. Sometimes my DZ stocks root beer. A nice cold one during a hot day of skydiving.... mmm heaven. Yeah, I'm boring.

Well, this one time, at the dropzone...

Oh man, I'm fucked, I'm such a lazy bastard.

Do at HAHO towards the end of the day. The view rocks.

If I still lived up north and wanted to hit Florida, I'd probably hit multiple DZs. Zhills, Deland, T-ville, Sebastian are all pretty much a must and are all very close to each other. If nothing else it'll give you a good idea of where to go the next year you come down.

I have a 150 and it opened very briskly until I started to stuff the nose. Now it's very gentle, I was suprised how much of a change doing that 1 thing did.

Should there be underage skydiving?

What life experience prepares a person to make their first skydive? -
LOL, my 200th was Saturday and I don't remember what the hell I did.

See you at 10,000 feet! 15. Oh, great, even better. LOL, it was kind of funny.

The sport is not a healthy lifestyle in a lot of ways. It consumes a lot of time and money and it's pretty easy to get injured. It's a very easy hobby to drop out of. But there's always new blood coming in so the sport absorbs the losses pretty easily. It's kind of silly define yourself as a "lifer" for pretty much any hobby anyway. There are a lot of rides in the amusement park, if you get tired of one there's nothing wrong with moving on to different thrill.

Ask me again in 5 years.

How about a DZ strip joint?

I like the tatoo in the small of the back. Classic.

I guess Pavlov's dog ate bells.

I'd imagine the C license requirement for the yearly Keys boogie has prevented accidents that have happened at other similar events that had laxer requirements that weren't even enforced.

Watch "World's Dumbest AFF Student"
MarkM replied to mdwhalen's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Actually I don't really hold anything against either action. Students freak out and do stupid things and commentators know nothing about the sport. What pisses me off though, is Lutz pretends that it wasn't his fault. "There were power lines everywhere." Yeah, right.
