  1. He was just making sure they noticed the wingsuit. Otherwise, with all the hair gel, they might've thought he was a freeflyer.
  2. He still hasn't gotten the Spanish instructions for the that suit yet?
  3. Otters get to altitude faster with fewer people in them.
  4. A new wingsuit being unveiled at the Flock and Dock? So is Flock and Dock gonna be the E3 of the wingsuiting world?
  5. I think "ask your instructors" is the most appropriate response for someone who's still a student or barely off student status. They don't have the background to filter out the bad advice and they should be learning in an instructor student relationship and not from the net. Edit: and stuff like this thread are examples why http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2554797;#2554797 Newbie wants tracking advice, a dead simple thing, end of the day is a chopper ride to the hospital for them and flying through canopies in the flight line. Some new people need to be watched more than others. An instructor in person can pick these people out better.
  6. It's a well known fact that batteries explode when thrown off a cliff. So I think the movie industry is safe.
  7. Texas in July??? Isn't there a law against traveling to Texas in July?
  8. Haha, classic. Make sure to get pics of it.
  9. My two Glocks act exactly like this. Bought them both around the same time, 1999, but have different mags. The 10 round version from the assault ban era and some pre-ban mags. Even put Wolf springs in the pre-ban ones. Been meaning to have a gun smith look at them, but for now I just load them with FMJ rounds which feed fine.
  10. Where are the donkies and midgets???
  11. I feel so left out sometimes. I haven't had a cutaway and frankly would be fine with never having one. Chasing down freebags is a PITA enough when they're someone else's.

    Dexter

Just finished watching the season. It's a really cool show, one of my favorites so far.
  13. Be comfortable enough with your EPs that you're okay with your main parachute not working.
  14. If you need a hand truck for the move, give me a PM, I have a brand new one you can borrow.
  15. I took a FFC from a tattoo'd crazy mofo BMI at ZHills. Since then my FF suit left me due to neglect and I routinely get into arguments with crew dogs over who gets to jump out last.
  16. Yeah, but the tri/smart are cheaper than PD canopies, the icons go for less than Voodoos and your kit doesn't include a cypress 2. But I'd only look at paying 4300 for all of that if it's a perfect fit, the container can fit a 130 and the colors are all what I liked.
  17. I jump at DZs that judge people on a per person basis and won't force an otherwise heads up jumper through re-training for being a few days over a number in a book.
  18. Call your DZ and ask. It's going to vary completely from place to place.
  19. Yeah, Seb is about 10 mins from Vero and is a really nice DZ. Also you should be able to get licensed in 2 weeks no problem. Give them a call and ask. If for some odd reason they think they can't handle that, try Deland, it's probably an hour and a half away.
  20. I usually say mam when some cute young girl calls me sir, so I irk them as much as they irk me

    Sox n Tevas?

Just wait, in another 10 years it'll be stylin and then he will have been ahead of the curve, a fashion visionary if you will.
  22. Jeff may have dibs on that, but I still reserve the right to create the Atmospheric Seagull license program and to found the 1st School of Modern Skyflying(as soon as my trademark on the word Skyflying goes through and I stop this one guy from using that term to describe freeflying). Aside from the trademark issue, the only thing holding the above back has been finding enough lawn darts for the in air license testing program. Apparently they were banned back in 98 and it's been a real struggle finding enough at garage sales to create a flock of the suckers that testees can maneuver around.
  23. Well, if that's a case you're worried about, I'd also make sure I was teaching students on the manufacturer's gear I was rated for.
