The appallingly poor judgment of people on the anti-vaccination side of this debate is shocking. My kids are grown now. I don't have grandchildren yet, but once I do, please please keep your un-vaccinated kids them the hell away from them.

Yes, yes; there's a good robot.

Neither you nor anyone else here has answered the point I made in post #25 - that it's utter folly to think that 99.9999% of illegal immigrants would possibly be inclined to vote. It's a solution in search of a problem, for no other reason - do you know what NO OTHER REASON means? - no other reason than Republicans trying to suppress Democratic votes of actual US citizens. Anyone who genuinely believes otherwise is simply a gullible fool.

The shocked look some wanking asshole in capris has when he scoffs at my RW suit and I tell him he can blow me.

Really? Maybe you should Edit and re-phrase.

I'd gladly jump 20 year old gear in serviceable condition (and a standardized configuration) for a non-freefly jump. But newer jumpers should know that some 20 year old gear isn't freefly-friendly.

Looking for skydiver to jump with company flag

Hey if the OP's small business has the scratch to fund that kind of production halfway around the world, more power to him. -
For the most part, the governments in these states are controlled by the Republicans. The same party that claims to champion governmental non-interference in the affairs of its citizens.

The predator Charles Manson was removed from society in 1969, and we haven't killed him. Yes, the cost of his upkeep has been considerably more than the price of a 20-foot length of rope. But having a civilized society that rises to a level above that of a killer comes with a cost of doing business.

I mean seriously, folks, do you really think the impoverished, uneducated migrant picking your vegetables or washing dishes in a restaurant is remotely inclined to knock off a couple hours' work to go vote for dogcatcher?

Agreed. The OP doesn't say what kind of business it is, but if most of its main customer base is located in the greater Toronto area, then the natural target audience of the ad ought to respond well to an ad with the scenery of their home city in the background. -
PERIOD! Mission Accomplished! Depending what you mean the definition of 'privacy' and 'keep' is Well, we already know what the definition of "mission accomplished" is.

+10 This is precisely the reason I most oppose the death penalty. Assuming he was guilty, of course he morally deserved to die miserably. And speaking solely as an individual, if he'd done that to my wife or daughter, I'd happily burn him at the stake alive, if I could. But society is supposed to collectively rise above the level of the base emotions and actions of the individual. To my view, when we kill someone for whom we have the alternative to imprison, then we as a society reduce ourselves down to the level of the murderer. Thus, I feel this way even when we are certain of the accused's guilt. Yeah, I know all the counter-arguments. But I've had about 40 years to think this through quite thoroughly.

I'm inclined to vote Boobies, because it's all a sham for public consumption. ETA -same point as yoink makes in the next post. Dammit, yoink beat me to the ETA.

I respect that it's difficult to speak in a foreign language, but I have to tell you honestly: I can't understand 82.7% of what the fuck you're trying to say.

Sure. Property ownership has long been viewed as an inherent right of men. If you check out the 9th amendment to the US Constitution, it says that just because a right is not enumerated therein does not mean people don't have it. There are more. The 10th says specifically that only the authority given the feds by the Constitution is theirs. All else belongs to the States or the People. Of course, nobody seems to pay attention to that... Is 20+ years too old for a reserve parachute?
Andy9o8 replied to PixieUK's topic in Gear and Rigging
I see from your profile you have 9 jumps (as of this writing). Do you have more knowledge about skydiving, or parachutes, or the skydiving industry, than the average novice with 9 jumps? For fuck sake dude. The guy is just giving a pretty innocent opinion. Enough with the "skygod" attitude. I dont care if you have a gazillion jumps and gigantic ball sack. Chill dude. Having never, ever been anything other than a weekend warrior with an intermediate canopy, I am the last jumper in the world who'd ever have a skygod attitude (when it comes to skydiving, at least). A novice with 9 jumps and no other exposure to the skydiving industry does not yet have a foundation to express an "opinion" to another novice such as he expressed here. I could have been snarky to him, but I'm satisfied I made my point indirectly, and politely. If that's the sort of thing that prompts you to fire away at me from your keyboard, then bite my ass. -

The American authorities entrusted nuclear missiles to addicts
Andy9o8 replied to Nelyubin's topic in Speakers Corner
Suggestive numbering at least. If it turns out to be MJ and if it would've happened in CO/WA would it still have been an issue or not? Sure it would. The military has its own regulations, and its personnel, while bound by the restrictions of civilian law in any jurisdiction, are further bound by the requirements and restrictions in the Uniform Code of Military Justice. -
How closely is that? If there weren't exploitable gaps, "Snowden" wouldn't have recently entered the lexicon as a verb.

In fairness, my Google search results reflects that which drug(s) are in question has not yet been disclosed. But my first default guess, too, would be MJ. I'm sure it's no less secure than, say, one of our embassies. -

I have a few beers in the frig, and a bottle of wine in the cupboard. So I am an alcoholic? The first step is admitting you have a problem. -

You are failing to distinguish between "recreational use of drugs" and "being addicted to drugs". There is an important difference.
