1 Pilot license:0:0 No jumping this weekend but, did get some flying in I know it's not a beer offense since it is a different sport but, I'll definitely be bringing some adult beverages to Byron on Saturday. I'm sure I can find someone there to help me celebrate since Brian is in Norway Fly like a girl

Guilty as charged everybody does it!! I had over 65 hrs before I got my private. Somedays, you just want to go up without an instructor and just have fun.

I'm so sorry Lisa I wish I had a positive story for you but, I lost my Golden from that about 4 years ago. I had her since child hood and loosing her was heart braking. On the plus side at least they caught it in time to treat it. Sandy didn't show any sings until my mom found her on the floor shaking and rushed her to the vet. The vet said her pancreas had already burst and they couldn't save her I hope Dixie gets well soon. Loosing a pet is so heard. Fly like a girl

I got a little lilac point siamese kitten in February I named Katana. A few weeks later I fell in love with another siamese kitten I saw at a pet adoption fair they were having at a petco Brian and I stopped at on the way to the DZ. I thought it would be a good idea to give Katana a play mate since I was gone most of the day so we brought him home. I gave him a few days to get used to his new house and for her to get used to his smell and then I tried to introduce them. At first sight they pounced on each other and went flying across the room in a big ball of teeth and fur I separated them but, every time I tried to put them together the same thing happened. I was really upset but, when I told my vet about it she said not to worry they were just playing. I reluctantly put them back to gather watched them wrestle for a while and then cuddle up and go to sleep

Has your skydiving habits been a cause of ending a relationship?
flygirl1 replied to Slider68's topic in The Bonfire
I think it did the opposite for me but, I can definitely see how it could cause problems for some. I have known my BF for years but, we really started to get close 3 years ago. We were best friends(and still are) and at the time he had recently finished aff. I can remember him going on and on about skydiving and it used to drive me nuts! I was getting so sick of hearing every detail of every jump non stop. After skiing in the winter I would stop with him at the DZ so he could make sunset load. After a few trips and an observer ride I finely got up the nerve to do AFF. It brought us even closer and we started dating at the american boogie in 05' Now when both of us come home form work we can have dinner or watch TV and go on and on and on about skydiving or our newer passion flying and no one is annoyed Fly like a girl -
