I wanted to apologize to anyone who has received bounced back orders or emails from Morpheus Technologies (baserigs.com). Due to a large increase in traffic and email contacts the server was filling up quickly and bouncing emails back. If for any reason a question that you sent Morpheus or an order has not been addressed please contact them via email or by phone ASAP. We have doubled their server space and are up and running like normal. I do apologize for any inconvenience this has caused anyone and I am sure I will have to take a good flogging from Rob and Kath to make up for it. Helmut

Ian Bobo will coach comp at Lake Wales
Helmut replied to chayes12's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
His debriefs are very valuable! He did a camp at Z Hills where I swear if it were not for Ian a guy on a Velo 120 would be dead by now. This guy was the classic HOOK and DIG!!! Scared the shit out of all of us. If you get a chance make this comp and get with Ian!!!! -
CPC non X Braced Competition
Helmut replied to CanopyPiloting's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Guys this is GREAT! Those of you that can make it better go after all the whining we did about wanting to compete on a level playing field. I am one of those whiners so working on trying to be there. Also props to those pro and advanced xbrace pilots willing to help train and prepare the rest of us for the event. This should be a good time for all with lots of learning to be done by the pilots!! -
You are right on. Its her rig! If she only wants to sell it to a non smoker 4' tall midget with green hair and a cock ring then thats her business. I know the guys that have been mentoring her and yes I am POSITIVE they checked her out!! I think the thread is a good thread and the different views are great as well as yours but to PM her and get bent seems a bit ridiculuous. Hey Brand still waiting to see some pics from you and gun from the Falls.

Out of this entire conversation the thing that made me most excited was Lauras quote "I would like to try BASE (ok, let's make that A & S for now)" Lets get past this discussion and on to Laura coming out to do some BASE! maybe I can start the My wingsuit manufacturer is better than yours thread that tends to get people excited!!!! hahahahha

I have over 200 jumps on my Katana 107 with a wing loading of 1.86. I am a very neat packer as for my body position during opening sequence I believe it to be good. However, the openings are just as vectra described. Most are freefly jumps. I have had a few of my friends who have hundreds of jumps on velocities and they say the openings are very similar. I do jump a wingsuit from time to time and my openings in the wingsuit are much nicer and more on heading which could have everything to do with me being in partial forward flight. Just my experience.

I think we are all on the same page with use of the neptune but more curious about the transition between the different carving approaches. I do appreciate everyones response! H

Hey guys curious question I have been doing 180s for about 350 - 400 jumps now on Jedei's to my current Katana 107. Most of my fellow jumpers that are swooping when they can are doing 270's. Is the transition from the 180 to 270 a huge one and what things should I look out for and guestiment how many should I do up high before attempting them. I like my FEMUR intact!!! One more question. I have a neptune but only use it for my set up altitude then go to my eyes for visual alititude. How many of you use the Neptune for both set up and starting your turn? Thanks Helmut!!!

Just curious on how many of our brethren have applied for one of these permits? I wonder if we inundated the NPS say within a certain period of time also forwarding these permits to certain congressman would force them to at least deny them as apposed to just ignoring them. Also I know many of you are in the legal profession if you could fill out the permit and post it so that we may word it in a way that would make it more difficult for them to deny it. Just curious I am sure there are many that would be willing to risk the fifty bucks.

Well its fun and my father never told me he loved me when I was in my formative years.

The BANNER KICKED ASS!!!!! Your right its time to throw down the gauntlet. Seems like you can work the good cop (JB) bad cop (D) to get in their faces. With the state and local politicians involved and TAX revenue changes can be made. They all want money for their state and local governments and to be re-elected!!! Once again nice job on the banner!!!

I agree with everything you say. Less yacking more hucking and two ramps!! Gotta love the floor mat at holiday I think Jason has had enough and it is ON!!!! Had a great time and perfect weather!!!!

James in the Acro and Robert Jones, Baxter, and Perry in prodigy's. Flew a beutiful 4 way diaomond. Was quite impressive!!!
-
The most we had done succesfully was a 4 way. We attempeted a 5 way but were not succesful. On the 4 way one person came over top and the two other cartwheeled and the other slid under. I got a little crunchy but held it. Have to be aggressive and hold on unless it gets crazy ugly.

"There is something like that in the works for here in NorCal. The NorCal Classic will have a "standard 9 cell" class, I dont have all the specifics yet, but once the date has been set for this event I'll post an update." I think that is a great idea just a 9 cell class or just a non crossbraced class would be easy to do. Gotta be alot more of those pilots around that would love to compete and a nominal entrace fee.

No your in your belly round and you end up facing each other in your HD round. Try to stay linked during the entire transition. Its not a flip or drive forward move. The entire formation transitions at the same time without breaking the dock. It is best to decide which way your going to transition during the dirt dive. In a two way you can either go over top of someone or as we did it we just transitioned to my right and his left like transitioning from a sit to HD. See what I am saying. If not PM me I will try to describe it better. Start out as 2 ways they are easier it gets alot harder just adding that one person to a 3 way depending on everyones skills.

That is RIDICULOUS!!!! I think I may have just dropped a load in my shorts.

I love my Troll with MDV. Has always opened on heading for me and has great forward speed if you need it and flys well in breaks and has great flair. Then again I am like what everyone is flamming about its the only canopy I have jumped. Good luck with choosing it won't be easy but there are people out there that are pretty objective also look at what some of the best and brightest are jumping that are not getting them for free.

A fun jump we have been doing as two, three, and four ways. If doing a two way free fly the exit if not exit in a flower then go to a round, after the round go to a sit campfire all touching toes then go to your belly and do a round. Make sure someone keys the transition to the belly if not seperation is hell. While docked in the round transition to a head down round staying docked. Then go back through it as many times as you can. Obviously the bigger it gets the harder it is. We did a two way and went through it 3 times. As the formation gets bigger take your time getting to the points. Fun dive and you get to work on your crappy belly skills!!!

Hey didnt you just recently do 10 in a day packing your own and climbing out all 10. Or thats at least the rumor I heard? Miles should crush the 24 record no problem.

Wings container with mod and long bridle. Seems to work well.
