  1. I am the web update guy and am working on getting more pictures on the Helium and Razor up. All the order forms are set up as well as descriptions of the gear and their intended uses. I do know there are few Razors being flown by Robi and James they should be able to give a fair evaluation of the new rigs.
  2. Jeb is jumping a Robi Pecnik S4 prototype. Luigi S6 can holder.
  3. So you KNOW that this jumper was jumping a WS or Gargoyle with that option and that he was using the bridle pouch. We do KNOW that a poorly packed or incorrectly packed PC has caused this sort of problem. The jumper pitches within 2 seconds of exit. There is very little burble if any at that point and and would only be inches from his back however the PC immediately starts flopping around in the air catching nothing. I am not a fluids physicist so hell I could be wrong.
  4. What I see is a malformed, flapping pc. You can see as soon as it inflates the deployment starts. Why it happened is hard to say from the low res footage, but most likely folding technique. But if it was the BASE bridle pouch you would see a nice round green pc getting dragged through the air, handy that the jumper had a bright green pc to make it so clear. The BASE bridal pouch is also only standard on the WS for Wingsuit BASE pouch on PF wingsuits and is only an option on the Gargoyle. I checked out morpheus PC folding instructions both for the Gargoyle and WS and both instruct to pack a normal mushroom type PC.
  5. Robi was in US one day too long and before this new look became permanent and refused to leave we tied him up and put him on a plane back to his native Croatia. Hopefully there James and Stane can straighten him out and get him back to normal and flying wingsuits again.
  6. Thanks to Robert from Morpheus for doing 4 loads with very low time flocker for some of their first flocks on Saturday. H
  7. You might want to sell that motorcycle too. I use to work in the ER and we referred to people who rode motorcycles as organ doners. At least put a helMUT on . Definately respect your decision and how hard it was. H
  8. I loaded my Katana 107 right at 2.0 and the low end was horrible. When I finally jumped a Velo 103 and could not have been happier. The low end went forever less running. In my experience the openings on the Velo were MUCH better and more consistant. I immedately ordered the Velo and have about 40 jumps on it and could not be happier. Front riser pressure on it much heavier but to me a much better wing at my loading.
  9. Hey guys please make sure you Register so we can get an idea on food, prizes etc http://www.baserigs.com/docs/news/
  10. FYI: If anyone has cooresponded with Morpheus in the past few months, please e-mail them as they have lost over 7000 e-mails over the weekend and really don't want anyone to fall through the cracks. 13. Expanding it wow that is shocking. Perfect target for the tandems!!! hahha. That is great. It got emptied the weekend before I got my Velo so will glad to see it full again.
  14. Ok then Jason will be looking forward to you being on staff making sure each and every jumper is qualified and prepared properly to jump. That is great. I know Jason needs the help!
  15. Maybe Base Rigger and Mac will voluteer to be Staff next year so they can make sure all the right people jump and dont jump. In fact I say Jason comes up with a new staff position just for them. It will be their job to do make sure every single jumper is properly prepared and trained to jump as well as all their log books filled out and verified by the dzo's they jumped at. Then Saturday in line do another interview of the jumpers to make sure they are prepared for their jump and make a decision wether they should be allowed or pull their permit! Step up to the plate guys and dont hide behnind some stupid message board and the idea oh we just want good discussions and debate. Thats a load of crap.
  16. Hey guys a registration page has been set up at Morpheus's web site. Please fill out the online registration so we have an idea of the numbers that are showing up and skill levels. This helps a great deal with organizing. Registration is free so leave the credit card portion of the registration blank. Please everyone that plans on being there take a few minutes to sign up. Sorry for hijacking the thread http://www.baserigs.com/docs/news/index.html#zflock
  17. I missed a load last week and this is the email I got on what happenened while I was out of town. This is the funniest thing I have ever heard and had to post it enjoy. Keep in mind the Giant is 6'6" 275 lbs. Ok, yeah so the great plan of me dropping them off at the tower then riding the gas skateboard scooter thing back was going as planned when the light died before I even drove away from the car! Then the tire was flat so I pumped it up real quick, headed down the road in the pitch black, in all black clothes!!! I'm about half way there when I hear dogs barking and their paws stomping when I decide to just keep going and not look back. So they apparently gave up and I got the three and a half miles down the road to the antenna. Then I had to stealthly hide in the bushes with the gay scooter till the cars passed. Then headed through the maze of barb wire fences till I found two jackasses hiding behind some bush doing god knows what! :) Ok, then we scoped out the landing areas and started climbing. My dumbass went first and felt like I was going to die after about 100 feet! This is where R told me I'd be fine so I kept going, funny looking back on it now! Then at like 300 ft R said he had to take a shit, about 40 ft later told us that he needed to climb down, then started to look like he was gonna pass out so B went and made sure the Giant didn't fall. About a half hour later we start to realize that the wind has shifted towards the neighborhood a little which is jumpable but sort of sketchy for a clean get away. Then we look down and realize that R is still only about 20 ft below us so we make the executive decision to climb down with him. I climb down all quick and get to the scooter and head back. Then I realize that the dog might still be out and I am now going up hill on a flat 2 inch diameter tire!!! So when I start to relax when I am over the hill and past the dog's place, when I hear the death bark and see a 120lbs plus Rot coming at my sides, just about now I realize this is by far the stupidest thing I've ever gotten myself into!!! Luckily the dog tired himself out about 100 yards down the road while trying to bite the back of my knees as I tuck myself in trying to reduce my wind resistance like the long distance bikers on tv... Finally back to the car to the lovely smell of gasoline which is still lingering today, and off to pick up the fags! What an awesome sport base jumping is huh? So when are we going again??? X
  18. I just sold my Katana 107 and have to say from day one when I got it from PD it opened what I would consider horribly. I downsized from a Jedei 120. I never owned a Stilleto but the Katana was always unpredictable. 200 jumps later purchased a velo 103 and and of the 30 jumps I have on it the opening have been 100 times better. I wish I had not wasted the time and money on the Katana and just bought my Velo. Seems like PD has had some problems with the Katana hence the hma line set on all the new ones etc. Is the Katana good canopy sure it is but if I had to do it over again I would rather have gotten a velo or at least given xf2, mamba or even that neo looks interesting if its ready for resale. Hopefully I did not muddy the waters too bad

    Yosemite Idea

I FREAKING HATE the ACLU but it may definately be worth a shot. I know we have some attorneys in our midst. Maybe they might have a fellow ACLU attorney friend.

  22. Same number from the web site. Strange things are a foot at the Circle K
  23. Interesting article by the late Ian Bellis on canopy sizing. Might shed some light on the measuring of canopies being open to interpretation. Very interesting. http://www.performancedesigns.com/docs/packvol.pdf
  24. I got the website updated for those of you who want to register online. Those of you that are definately going to be there and have not registered please get registered ASAP so they can get a good idea of all the mother flockers showing up. They need this for food, prizes, T Shirts etc. Typical boogie grab bag stuff. Looks like a great event is upon us. Helmut
