As in real life you CAN skydive without a rig but you don't splat if you wear one. Go to Abbotts and buy a Terra Sport 3 rig.
-
Oh and look for Abbotts Aerodome. He is the creator of skydiving in SL and sells rigs, planes, sims, etc. Best place in SL but laggy. Buy a skydive pod and put it on your land. I have a pod, a jumpship, and a hot air balloon.
-
Canuck, you are not allowed to do turns over 90 degrees in SL so maybe you need to find another game to play. Swooping is banned in SL.
-
Yes. And it pisses me off. We will see what happens with it. Don't think HH will allow it very long. At least I hope not.

Once they got passed the covet thy neighbors wife they said fuck it!

Just laughing that the main advertising here now is Skyride. I am sure they are laughing.

I see Atlanta Skydiving Center on the main top menu. $129.00 tandem special. But what they don't know is it is $50.00 more for a instructor to wear a parachute and $50.00 more for 1k of altitude of 7k.

Breaking News... Skydive Arizona has banned stabbings at their dropzone. A detailed report from Bryan Burke will be posted soon....
-
It is safe to say Quinn lost about $20,000,000 not going in the top 5. That would hurt expecting to go 1st and being picked what was it 22?

Bryan Burke - SDAZ 270 Policy notes
Ashtanga replied to billvon's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Canuck stop complaining and if you don't like it simply don't jump at Eloy again. I seriously doubt Larry or Bryan will change their policy because of your posts. Find a DZ that has a HP landing area and make that your home DZ. Larry can afford to lose jumpers because of this policy. I am sure he took that into consideration and decided another accident involving high speed collisions was not worth it. Will there still be accidents? Yes. But this just may stop a few from happening. -
My favorite was the time a student cutaway and her boyfriend came into the packing area and started yelling at us. She came in with the instructor and she chopped a perfectly good canopy because she thought the slider should have came down further.
-
Don't get me wrong I never packed crap but it is fabric you are packing. It is not always going to open perfectly. When I started out I hated to hear complaints but after awhile I learned that the insructors complained because "it didn't snivel enough" or " it was a little off heading". Every once in awhile I got "That was the hardest opening I have ever had in my life!" I would just say , "Your welcome!"
-
60 tandem rigs in one day? I bet she was tired. I use to pack for a living and the most tandems I ever packed in a day was 30. Plus about 10 student rigs and 10 instructor rigs. Best part about packing all those in one day is listening to the instructors complain about their openings.

Ya'll been Burked! -
Take 6 months off school and thru-hike the Appalachian Trail. Then do wat you decided while you had plenty of time to think.

Admittedly, Joan Jett gets me kind of hot...
Ashtanga replied to RastaRicanAir's topic in The Bonfire
Joan did a tandem with the Golden Knights in Yuma in 2002. Then she bought everyone dinner. Cool chick!! -
That is Chromeboy's Space Ship arriving at the Moab Boogie.

I saw him open for Satriani in Atlanta back in 98 or 99. I enjoyed him better than Satch and I am a huge Satch fan.
