Doesn't supprise me at all, USA = 90 % (ish) belief in GOD Rest of DEVELOPED world = less than a 30% belief in GOD some countries like sweden less than 10%...... All religions are cults. Christianity is simply one of the more popular ones. As an eyecare professional, this makes my blood boil. I remember 1999 in the UK we had a solar eclipse and there were cases of people looking at the sun then. how stupid do you have to be to believe that some silly deity can be seen by looking at the sun? fixating the sun is painful, and you would think that people would have more sense, even in the 3rd world. Do you not think that being dead will be very much like it was before you were born? If we have an eternal soul, then why cant I remember anything from before I was born? Where was I ? Well, as things stand, atheists must have faith the size of a mountain to believe life arose without an intelligent designer. Despite expensive equipment and the promise of the most famous Nobel Prize in history, no scientist has reproduced the spontaneous generation of life in the lab. Nope, no faith of mountainous proportions, just dont see the need for a man-made god to be the creator of life. We as a race have only really entered the modern world in the last 100 -150 years. Do you honestly think that in 100 years time given the acceleration of research and capabilities in biological research that we will not be able to replicate life in the test tube? I think we will. And when someone finally does, much like when someone makes contact with an ET lifeform, I hope the religious will go away, there will no longer be any need for any gods or fairies at the bottom of the garden. but until then I can only hope that reason keeps religion in check.... for all our sakes

I have heard this one many times before : BIG BANG = EVOLUTION... The 2 processes are completely different. One is a cosmological event, the other is a biological process. why do creationists believe that they are the same thing? Whats wrong with Panspermia?
