Well, since they wouldn't even repack my parachute just because I was an American, yes I will be very bitter. I offered to repack, but they wouldn't let me do that either. I had 2 instructors and a couple locals go ask them whats up, no dice. The packers just lifted their nose to me and grab the parachute off of one of the locals that just got off a jump. After about 2.5 hours of waiting, I went up to the main office and got my money back. Don't go to Target Sky Sports. You can ask Billy about the experience we had there. Since it is so expensive to jump in the UK, I would almost wait till you come back to the states to visit and we could knock out your "A" and more for cheaper than just jumpin in the UK. When I went through AFF they didn't really touch on slider problems. They say if it is stuck at the top, flare a couple times. If it doesn't come down cut away. So just for future reference, if the slider is only stuck 2-3 feet above the risers is it safe to land or should we cut away? If the slider was much higher than that, wouldn't the end cells have a hard time inflating? I started AFF on a Saturday and finished Sunday. By the next weekend, I had my A License. In that span of a week, I spend over 3k. You have to have a coach on some of those jumps. So I ended up paying for gear, jump slot, coach slot, additional slot so the aircraft would take off. Expensive way to do it. But it can be completed quickly. Well right now, I look in my living room and ask myself, Why do I need a $2000 stero and a $2000 gaming laptop that is just used to watch movies??? Right there could almost buy my new rig and I could use that $400 payment towards my credit card to actually skydive.... Well I am just wondering how many of you have sold stuff to skydive. I have a gaming laptop that I use for a media player on my theatre that I am thinking about selling. I just bought my first rig which cost 5K and being in the military it will take about 2 years to pay off. My first jump I landed on top of one of the turns of a motor-cross track, rolled down a hill and nailed a log with my thigh.
