  1. Oh really? I guess you don't know too much about history then. Ever heard of Harry Truman, John Kennedy, and Franklin Roosevelt? Nice try though. Zipp0 Roosevelt was a sissie and never quite did anything right...people adored him for his talks and then he died and became a democratic saint. Kennedy was an equally awful president. Truman was a good president but his own party hated him.
  2. But to the Left she is no more than a whistle blower who is invested in American Defeat at any cost, as long as it puts the Dem's back in power. Does'nt really matter how many American lives they put at risk, thats not their concern, absolute power is. Thats why the American people should never trust the liberal left or the Dem's when it comes to national defence or expecting that they would in fact protect our own country from a foreign threat. History has proven they have no stomach for protecting freedom. Sandy Burger was a good example of how someone can commit a crime by stealing clasified documents and recieving no prison time, after all he was only trying to hide the truth. There are many here who think everything you just posted is perfectly ok.

If you were a doctor maybe but a Lawyer? I could understand if she needed legal help. besides asking for a loan publicly in your employ sets a bad precedent.

  8. Kerry: Opposing Iraq War Is Patriotic By MARK PRATT, Associated Press Writer Sat Apr 22, 5:01 PM BOSTON - Those who disagree with the Bush administration's policies in Iraq face the same scornful charges that they are unpatriotic as Sen. John Kerry did 35 years ago when he spoke out against the Vietnam War, the Massachusetts Democrat said Saturday. "I have come here today to reaffirm that it was right to dissent in 1971 from a war that was wrong. And to affirm that it is both a right and an obligation for Americans today to disagree with a president who is wrong, a policy that is wrong, and a war in Iraq that weakens the nation," Kerry said to a standing ovation Saturday at Boston's historic Faneuil Hall. Kerry's speech came 35 years to the day after he testified before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to call for an end to the Vietnam war. "How do you ask a man to be the last man to die for a mistake?" Kerry said in 1971, a line that helped propel the decorated Navy combat veteran and Yale graduate onto the national stage. The same question applies today as Americans wrestle with the mounting death toll in Iraq, Kerry said, speaking before about 500 supporters who punctuated his speech at least 20 times with ovations. "Lives have been lost to bad decisions," Kerry said. "Not decisions that could have gone either way, but decisions that constitute basic negligence and incompetence. And lives continue to be lost because of stubbornness and pride." Kerry also blasted those who question the motivation of retired generals who have recently called for the resignation of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. "That is cheap and shameful," he said. "How dare those who never wore the uniform in battle attack those who wore it all their lives." A few scattered chants of "run" and "2008" were heard both before and after the speech. Kerry, the 2004 Democratic nominee for president, has not announced whether he would run in 2008. In response to Kerry's speech Saturday, a spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee denied the party questioned anyone's patriotism. "While we have never questioned Democrats' patriotism, we do question John Kerry's motives, considering his eagerness to engage in political theatrics as he ponders a presidential run," Tracey Schmitt said. Kerry reiterated his position that American troops should be withdrawn by the end of the year, saying that Iraqi politicians only respond to deadlines. Kerry said while Iraq is different from Vietnam, there are some critical parallels. "We are in the same place as we were when I came home from Vietnam and spoke out against the civilian leaders who were willing to sacrifice America's best in the interest of political self-preservation," he said.Quote Since 1971 John Kerry has not only become a bigger asshole, but now he believes he is right even when he is wrong, and it gets pointed out to him.

  11. Alleged Osama Tape: West at War With Islam By STEVEN R. HURST, Associated Press Writer 41 minutes ago CAIRO, Egypt - Osama bin Laden purportedly said in an audio tape broadcast by Al-Jazeera television Sunday that the West's decision to cut off funds to the Palestinians proved that the United States and Europe were at war with Islam. He also said the West was supporting what he called a "Zionist crusader war against Muslims." "The blockade which the West is imposing on the government of Hamas proves that there is a Zionist crusader war on Islam," the speaker on the tape said. "I say that this war is the joint responsibility of the people and the governments. While the war continues, the people renew their allegiance to their rulers and politicans and continue to send their sons to our countries to fight us." The authenticity of the tape could not immediately be verified. It was the first purported new message from bin Laden since Jan. 19. In that audiotape, he warned that his fighters were preparing new attacks in the United States but offered the American people a "long-term truce" without specifying the conditions. That tape was posted in full on a Web site a month later and included a vow by the terrorist chieftain never to be captured alive. Quote I am of the opinion that Bin Laden wants a truce before he gets captured and executed after a very lengthy embarrassing trial where he is shown to be no more than a religous zealot bent on destroying the west.
  12. Ahh, but you have tolerance for a certain President who has put the whole country at risk? How many years should that prick Bush go to prison for? I hope he goes on holiday somewhere and ends up getting tortured by little arab dwarfs. Hijacker Alert WOOT WOOT!
  13. Looks like quite a bit of coning on the blades before impact. Pulling more collective would have probably just kept the pilot busy until impact. Agree with Slotperfect; vortex ring state. Sometimes called settling with power, too. Either way, if you're not high enough, it's going to hurt. I meant use more collective before that crap even started... why get into a mess like that in the first place? isn't the technique for a long vert decent to use higher rpms and then finesse the collective?
  14. Note to pilot: use more collective!!!
  15. there are two tools that will make his senless jabbering stop A nice set of new pruning shears One new micro torch step 1: foot sweep and stomp the throat. step 2: when he gasps for air, stick the shears in the mouth and clip away quickly. ( note it is wise to keep your fingers out of the mouth and you don't know what he's been doing with it and don't want to risk infection). step 3: cauterize the stump of his tongue with the micro torch ( hey you don't want him bleeding all over and making a mess). see now he won't bother anyone else with his non stop gobbing! *This message has been a public service announcement

  17. CIA Fires Employee for Alleged Press Leak By KATHERINE SHRADER, Associated Press Writer 3 hours ago President Bush arrives with CIA Director Porter Goss, left, ... WASHINGTON - The CIA fired a top intelligence analyst who admitted leaking classified information that led to a Pulitzer Prize-winning story about a network of secret CIA prisons, government officials say. The officer was a senior analyst nearing retirement, Mary McCarthy, The Associated Press learned. Reached Friday evening at home, her husband would not confirm her firing. Almost immediately, the firing turned political. Senate Intelligence Committee chairman Pat Roberts, R-Kan., praised the agency for identifying a source of the leaks and encouraged vigorous investigation of other open cases. "Those guilty of improperly disclosing classified information should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law," Roberts said. Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J., called on President Bush to hold accountable those in his administration who leaked information about the Iraq intelligence in the run-up to the war and outed undercover CIA operative Valerie Plame. "Apparently, President Bush doesn't believe what's good for the CIA is good for the White House," Menendez said. In McCarthy's final position at the CIA, she was assigned to its Office of Inspector General, looking into allegations the CIA was involved in torture at Iraqi prisons, according to a former colleague who spoke on condition of anonymity because the case is under investigation. Without identifying McCarthy by name, CIA Director Porter Goss announced the firing in a brief message to agency employees circulated Thursday. Such dismissals are highly unusual. Agency spokesman Paul Gimigliano confirmed an officer had been fired for having unauthorized contacts with the media and disclosing classified information to reporters, including details about intelligence operations. "The officer has acknowledged unauthorized discussions with the media and the unauthorized sharing of classified information," Gimigliano said. "That is a violation of the secrecy agreement that everyone signs as a condition of employment with the CIA." Citing the Privacy Act, the CIA would not disclose any details about the officer's identity, assignments or what she might have told the news media. A law enforcement official confirmed there was a criminal leaks investigation under way, but it did not involve the fired CIA officer. The official said the CIA officer had provided information that contributed to a Washington Post story last year disclosing secret U.S. prisons in Eastern Europe. The law enforcement official spoke only on condition of anonymity, citing the sensitivity of the matter. The Post's Dana Priest won a Pulitzer Prize this week for her reporting on a covert prison system set up by the CIA after Sept. 11, 2001, that at various times included sites in eight countries. The story caused an international uproar, and government officials have said it did significant damage to relationships between the U.S. and allied intelligence agencies. Post Executive Editor Leonard Downie Jr. said on the newspaper's Web site: "We don't know the details of why (the CIA employee) was fired, so I can't comment on that. But as a general principle, obviously I am opposed to criminalizing the dissemination of government information to the press." It was unclear if Priest or any other reporters who spoke to McCarthy would be brought into an investigation. Post spokesman Eric Grant said no reporter at the paper had been subpoenaed or had spoken to investigators about the matter. Goss has pressed for aggressive probes about leaked information. "The damage has been very severe to our capabilities to carry out our mission," Goss told Congress in February, adding that a federal grand jury should be impaneled to determine "who is leaking this information." On Friday, another government official, also speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the information, said the fired officer had failed a lie-detector test. It was not clear if the person was taking a routine polygraph examination, as is required periodically of employees with access to classified information, or if the test was among those ordered by Goss to find leakers inside the agency. Justice Department officials declined to comment publicly on the firing and whether the matter had been referred to federal prosecutors for possible criminal charges. One law enforcement official said there were dozens of leak investigations under way. Another said there had been no referral from the CIA involving the fired employee, normally a precursor to a criminal investigation. Both spoke on condition of anonymity because the matter is under investigation. Quote I am in favor of seeing charges of treason being brought.

  19. Queen Celebrates 80th Birthday By JENNIFER QUINN, Associated Press Writer 52 minutes ago WINDSOR, England - Cheering crowds, red-jacketed bandsmen in bearskin hats and ceremonial gunfire saluted Queen Elizabeth II on her 80th birthday Friday, but stubborn clouds denied the monarch her wish for sunshine. Wearing a striking cerise coat and matching feathered hat, the queen appeared promptly after noon through the Henry VIII gate at Windsor Castle. Prince Philip, her husband of 58 years, briefly trailed behind but then moved off to greet other sections of the crowd. Friday's events included a 21-gun salute at Windsor, a 41-gun salute at Hyde Park in London and a formal dinner to round off the day at Kew Palace. But for monarchists and celebrity spotters, the day's big event was the chance to greet the queen outside the imposing castle founded by William the Conqueror. Crowds began building on the street hours before, and children in their blue school blazers waved white flags with the red cross of St. George, the patron saint of England. The queen smiled broadly as she accepted one bouquet after another handed across the barricades. "She has never been involved in a scandal, she has carried out her duties superbly, we love her to bits and hope that she reigns for at least another 20 years," said Colin Edwards, 65, from Ruthin, Wales, who claimed to have been a bystander at 113 royal events since 1982. "She's fantastic," said Mary Wintle, 71, who came from Wales to cheer the monarch. "Did you see Margaret Thatcher yesterday? Did you see her neck? Well, look at the queen's," Wintle said. Thatcher, in a birthday tribute on ITV News on Thursday, said the queen had been an inspiration. "Her guidance and advice are always most acute and as prime minister I was privileged to benefit from both enormously," said Thatcher, 80, who led the government from 1979-1990. On a visit to the British Broadcasting Corp. on Thursday, the queen had been asked what she wanted for her birthday. "A nice sunshiny day _ that would be nice," she said. Prime Minister Tony Blair and his cabinet sent a tea set made by Spode, the distinguished British potter. The cost was not disclosed. The queen has received more than 20,000 cards and 17,000 e-mails wishing her a happy birthday, Buckingham Palace said. "I have been very touched by what you have written and would like to express my gratitude to you all for making this day such a special one for me," the queen said in a message released Friday. The birthday has revived speculation about whether the queen would ever contemplate retiring and handing the throne to her heir, Prince Charles. But Countess Mountbatten, a close friend of the queen, said that is unlikely. "She regards the job as a job for life," the countess said in an interview with British Broadcasting Corp. radio. On Friday evening, the celebrations move to Kew Palace in London where Prince Charles was the host for dinner. Fireworks were laid on, and an orchestra to play selections from Handel's "Water Music," written for King George I in 1717. In Australia, where the queen is still head of state, Prime Minister John Howard said he would present the queen with an album of 15 photographs taken during her visits to the country. A giant Royal Standard flag few over Windsor Castle Friday to hearld the day. A Royal Standard is flown when the queen is in residence in one of the official palaces, including Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace, but the one used Friday was a special large banner 38 feet long and 19 feet wide. The Royal Standard is made up of four quarterings _ two for England, represented by three horizontal lions, one for Scotland represented by a standing lion and one for Ireland in the form of a harp. Wales is not represented because it has a special position as a principality recognized by the creation of the title of Prince of Wales. Quote I really could give two shit about the bunch of tossers we call the Royal Family, but the Queen is a decent, polite, and respectful of others and has done a great deal for her subjects. The same cannot be said for many of this worlds Heads of State. I have a friend that said the Queen was very kind to him, and was very interested in what he had to say whether she liked it or not.(awards ceremony)
