I was not current after Fighter Anthology with the 714libs. I too wonder what is out there that is now the equivalent of what FA with libs was in it's day. Damn did we have great fun doing A2A A2G and 1vs1 2vs2 4vs4 and dissimilar air combat. Lots of real fighter and bomber jocks were involved.

Homeowner arrested after the burglar he confronted falls 30ft by JAYA NARAIN 21:06pm on 8th August 2007 A homeowner was arrested after a burglar plunged from the balcony of his top-floor flat. The intruder suffered head injuries and is fighting for his life after falling around 30ft on to a concrete path. Later police arrested the owner and are investigating whether the intruder was pushed. The incident happened early on Monday when Patrick Walsh, 56, awoke to find the 43-year-old man rifling through his flat. They argued and the confrontation moved towards the rear window of the flat. It is believed the intruder then smashed the window and clambered out on to a narrow ledge and fell to the ground. Mr Walsh phoned police and at around 6.30am officers found the man on the ground outside the smart Victorian apartment block in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, He was taken to hospital with serious head injuries. Officers arrested Mr Walsh on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and are trying to establish whether the intruder was forced out of the window. The arrest is expected to fuel arguments about the rights of householders to defend themselves against burglars. The issue has been high on the law and order agenda since farmer Tony Martin was jailed for shooting dead a burglar in 1999. Following the Martin affair the Crown Prosecution Service and the Association of Chief Police Officers said any householder can use reasonable force to protect themselves or others, or to carry out an arrest or to prevent crime. Yesterday Mr Walsh, who was given bail pending further inquiries, refused to speak about the incident. But his solicitor Victor Wozny said: "My client is not at liberty to say anything because he is under police bail. "However we appreciate that the public view might be that this is a man arrested in his own home defending his own property." A neighbour said: "Police arrived in what seemed to be minutes and were there for the whole day. "It's shocking to find out what has happened but people shouldn't break into other people's houses." Another resident said: "I presume we will have to respect the burglar's rights while his victim has the nightmare of court hanging over his head. It all seems so unfair." A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said they had been called following reports that an intruder had fallen from a top-floor flat. A 56-year-old man had woken up to find a man in his flat. "Following an exchange of words, the alleged burglar was found unconscious on the pavement outside the flat. "It is believed that he had fallen from the fourth-floor window." He said the man is 43 and lives locally and inquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident. Mr Walsh was later released on bail until November. If charged and convicted he could face a life sentence. Another resident said: "I presume we will have to respect the burglar's rights while his victim has the nightmare of court hanging over his head. It all seems so unfair." http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=474025&in_page_id=1770

BTW it was nice finally revealing my true identity to you, and I did not even have to whip it out!!! See I can behave..... Sometimes -
It might be, I think that is him. RIP He also perfected the "death roll" where the plane starts rolling in a fairly wide barrel roll while closing so that the SAM could not correct and strike its target. ETA: was confusing Thorsness with the other Pilot.

[bob euchre voice] That one has got to hurt bad folks![/bob euchre voice]

I hope they do the one about the WWII pilot who was the only pilot left on his carrier, when the Japs were spotted closing in on the carrier strike force, while severly wounded he climbed into his plane took off and shot down all the planes he could until his ammo ran out, then proceeded to ram the enemy. He was all alone, and yet was able to turn away and entire Japanese air strike of many many planes.

There was another Pilot and I am trying to recall his name, but he flew an F105G Wild Weasel. The guy was so fucking good that he scored more SAM kills than any squadron, let alone single pilot. to come in purposely trolling for SAMs, with inferior electronics, crappy SHRIKE missiles, and yet prevail while having the sky filled with lead like mosquitos in Minnesota is truly remarkable. 700kts on the deck and closing fast had to strike fear into the hearts of anyone witnessing it. He made most of his kills using "dumb" MK82 snakeyes. I may be wrong but I think he was KIA.

Steve Ritchie is another man amongst mere mortals. I bet the NVA pilots and Russian advisors were well aware of him and probably were shitting in their flight suits thinking about him.

I am throwing the bullshit blanket on you, yeah John cannot fathom that boths sides of the aisle are the A and B squads of the same team, the team that is playing the People in the middle. But to call him grossly uneducated, just made you an asshole and stupid as well. John is actually Grossly Educated. As is Bill Von, that is the main reason we all give those two as much shit as possible, to keep them humble!

Hey I just prefer that those that lead should understand what it is like to follow.

Almost as impressive as the feats of Randall "Duke" Cunningham. That man had more than a RIO on his side. Check out the one on "Boots" Blesse

I agree, no former service, no CIC.

BTW there is no such thing as a semi auto assault weapon, but I know which weapons you were referring to.

It's only embarrassing if you go to the hardware store for a roll of bounty, some heavy rope, and have to do your own rigging.

My question related to the actions of the really really wealthy in getting what they want, not the actions of people like you and me in becoming voluntary donors. The truly wealthy would not worry about trivial things like finding a dead organ donor, there are far too many living tissue matches out there to be had.

when I die if I have any usable parts that can help someone, let them have those parts. I do not want my body going to medical research so people can play games with me or dissect me, or otherwise. gotta have something to cremate and scatter from altitude.

Thanks for the reccomendation, I want to see the movie,. I thought movies one and two were pretty damned good. The hokey spy movies are good for a laugh. but the actions sequences suffer.
