  1. Agreed upon entirely. The guy I told you about that trains hunters(horse) is very vocal about the fact that you cannot train a horse for something they have not ever encountered.
  2. Back when everyone at the convention were showing off their new canopies made from Mammoth hides?
  3. Indeed good luck to you Karen, I would hate to imagine how this would change your life if you were just some "working stiff" nurse again. I know from first hand experience what happens when a sibling or loved ones personal problems become a drag on one, emotionally, and financially.
  4. f they are not allowed to sell any of their LEGAL wares, Cabelas will close it's doors and move.
  5. To try and remove the right of the People to keep and Bear Arms, is a desireable endeavour for many persons of power and influence in our country. But they would like to retain that right for themselves as well. All that would result in the Second Amendment being repealed or decided upon as a collective right is a large scale civil war. Make no bones about it but our country is armed to the teeth, and many millions of ordinary Americans have knowledge and real life experience to commandeer, and utilize every weapons platform that our military could possibly be forced to use upon it's own people. That, coupled with the fact that many military commanders would not follow an unconstitutional order to fire upon the PEOPLE, makes a huge mess. You would see divisions of soldiers defecting to the free nation forces while there would be others quite happy to serve their totalarian masters.
  6. The fat fuckers who are in charge of the sheeple?
  7. Cook County Board Poised to Shut Down Cabela's Superstore CHICAGO, Dec. 9 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following was released today by the Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA): Just weeks after its gala grand opening, the Cabela's superstore in Hoffman Estates, IL is facing closure by the Cook County (IL) Board. This impending action stems from a pair of proposed county ordinances prohibiting the retail sale of firearms at a location 15 miles or less from any other federally licensed firearm dealer. The proposals further prohibit retail sale of firearms within one mile of any school, church, place of worship, nursing home, homeless shelter, public housing, or military installation. With respect to these restrictions, Cabela's Hoffman Estates store loses on all counts - as does every other federally-licensed gun dealer in Cook County. "This proposal is an election year stunt instigated by Cook County Commissioner, Larry Suffredin," said ISRA Executive Director, Richard Pearson. "Although this is something that we'd expect to see from a gun-control extremist like Suffredin, I'm surprised to see astute politicians like Commissioners Claypool, Quigley, and Murphy signing on as co-sponsors to this farce." "Cabela's Hoffman Estates store employs hundreds of Cook County residents and brings in millions of sales tax dollars for the County," continued Pearson. "If Cabela's cannot sell firearms, then there is no Cabela's. If there is no Cabela's, then those retail dollars flee to DuPage, Kane or Will counties. The cash-strapped Cook County treasury really can't afford such a huge hit just because Larry Suffredin doesn't like people who own guns." "From a practical standpoint, Suffredin's proposal is a non-starter," commented Pearson. "It bears repeating that the Chicago Police Department has determined that 88% of murderers have previous criminal records as do 76% of murder victims. Federally-licensed firearm dealers are not the problem - career criminals are." "Furthermore", continued Pearson. "When was the last known case where someone walks out the door of a gun shop, in the door of a nursing home, and then proceeds to shoot the place up? The same Chicago Police Department report lists alleyways as being popular places to get murdered. Why then, did Suffredin not specify that no gun shop could be within one mile of an alley? The reason is simple - shock value. Suffredin prefers to play on the plight of our most vulnerable citizens in order to advance his quixotic campaign to disarm hunters and sportsmen. Commonsense is not part of the Suffredin lexicon." "One insidious side-effect of the Suffredin proposal is that it deeply erodes the home-rule authority of many of the larger communities in Cook County," noted Pearson. "The Suffredin proposal is expensive, ineffective, divisive and impractical," said Pearson. "I hope that Board President Stroger has the wisdom to immediately reject Suffredin's showboating."
  8. I have a good example of what a deterrent is. Who would any of you rather attempt a home invasion on if you were a criminal? 1. My house? 2. Kallends House? Now given the opinion of some of the less learned amongst us, I should be a more desireable target of home invasion because of the fact that I own several high value, and higly effective firearms. Now why is it that people would choose to invade a home where they know guns are either locked up or unloaded and not ready for immediate useage? Case in point is that Kallend was once a cop, does that deter a criminal from invading his home and assaulting his SO? I am just an old, broken down, has been, or never was, so why would a criminal think twice about attacking my home, or loved ones? Please post a clear and concise response, not a veiled attack, or a cut n paste of someone elses words, found somewhere on the web.
  9. Nevermind the facts, just accept whatever you are told.
  10. Well then, they should pass a law against murder so criminals will just stop committing murders.
  11. I understand your point, but given that farmers often feed dead animals to the hogs I would say you would have nothing to worry about. Hey I am sure he was not very kind to the pigs either.
  12. a .22 rimfire in the through the eye socket is all he deserves. Then: Let the pigs feast!
  13. I would like to pass on due to natural causes, and if it is an untimely death by accident, so be it. If I should die due to violence, let me be found laying in a huge pile of my own spent brass, with a pile of dirty rotten bastards laying nearby, so large that it takes an endloader to clear up the perps. That is all. Oh yeah and Rainbo gets dibs on my gear.
  14. To Lee's family, he and I had been PMing in recent weeks, and right away I knew he was someone who earned others trust, admiration, and loyalty. I wanted to meet him, and had been invited to toast Bob and Beezy, Lee had a way of makng someone not feel like an outsider. He was one hell of a good man. I am truly sorry for your loss. edited for typos, because I type like shit.
  15. Hadrians Wall. After conquering the known world and civilizing the barbarian tribes, it was determined that the Scots were just too much trouble. A nice wall is just what was needed to keep them out. The vomitorium During the weeklong, mid-winter party known as Saturnalia, a place to sleep off and repair. Too bad that Christianity became so popular. Instead of singing carols, we could be hold a bottle of bourbon and singing Louie Louie with 4 strippers. We pass out fruitcakes instead. Actually Christianity got a huge boost from the Romans. What a strange turn of events, from persecution, to promotion.
  16. Happy Birth Day! I guess that was your first exit?
  17. My daughter has a friend who comes over, she was 11 at the time and is a finicky eater, she does not eat much of anything excepts carbs and sodas. This kid was spending the night and had gone to the bathroom, I went in there around 10:30pm. I walked in, flipped open the lid and proceeded to leap backwwards into the sunken tub. What was lying in wait for me, coiled up and ready to strike was TURDZILLA. When I say this was the largest human turd I ever saw, it is an understatement. This thing was cloied up. lodged in the bottom of the bowl, it rose out of the water and was actually touching the rim on a Koehler elongated bowl, hi rise toilet. If that thing has eyes and sharp teeth, it would have killed the entire household. I have traveled to many countries, I have met alot of people in the military of many different nations, I have met alot of skydivers that would certainly outshit some livestock. But an 11 year old girl shit out something that was as large as my forearm, and fist, only longer.
  18. I think differently, I however understand fully what you mean.
  19. Lee would be proud of what you guys are doing. To contribute, or help others when you are wealthy and doing fine, is admirable, but to do so when you have to do without for yourself, is truly worthy of being called GREAT/Unselfish. It's just like when you are eating, and don't have much money, but offer half of what is on your plate because someone is too proud to say they are starving, and have no money.
