Unbelievable. Had 5 jumps today, number 5 was the 100th. Way cool I did a three way on my belly with two freeflyers. They stung me (i think) anyway I just did a floating back exit and they came and got to me and we hooked up. Smiles smiles and more smiles. Many thanks to Jim and Nancy for flying with me. Also to every instructor I've had. Two cool points. 1.) I did a two way R/W #98 with the same instructor who took me on my "FIRST" jump, we got 12 points. 2.) I didn't realize till I looked back at my logbook but My "FIRST" jump ever was on 11/8/03. Thats almost two years to the day. It is a factory. The wifey wife and I were in Vegas (she was jumping then) and I had done my homework (or so I thought) and called ahead from home to find out if we as AFF students could get a jump while we were in Vegas. They told us yes no problem just bring your logbook. When we arrived at the DZ we were told All we could do was a tandem jump. They picked us up on the strip and I thought that was cool but after the jump it was hurry up hurry up hurry up if you want to buy a T-Shirt, or etc cause the van is leaving. We did no instructor/student debrief or anything. There was a new van load of folks arriving as we left. On Thursday and Friday 9/22, 9/23 I had an awesome experience. Jumped with Pete Allum and learned more than I could have imagined. Pete is a great guy but ya'll probably already know that. We did some nice 4 ways, I had a great time. Did I mention how much I learned?? I love R/W I want to do it all the time and I want to be good at it. One day hopefully I'll get there. I was in the ATL last weekend 9/9 - 9/11. Went to Skydive Monroe on Saturday morning and took a friend who did his first jump (tandem) I had a great time and met some great people. It was our college reunion so we took the videos back to the party saturday night. My friends tandem and I had an R/W video and they were the hit of the party. Anyway check out Skydive Monroe if you get out that way. It is east of ATL about 40 minutes drive time. Thanks to Jeff Morgan, Big Steve, Jason and everyone else at Skydive Monroe who I met. We went over to West point today and had three great jumps. That was my first time at the point and I really enjoyed it. Met some new people all nice and got on two great R/W jumps. The first was a four way with Carol Clay that's right THE Carol Clay she is soooooo nice and down to earth. Then I had a super cool 6 way with five other great skydivers. If you are ever in the neighborhood stop by West Point. It's a great DZ with friendly people. Thanks to everyone at West Point and to all the new friends I made today. See you all real soon. Of the people who were at my student level there is only two. There are a few who were quite a ways ahead of me that I still see on a regular basis. But of my "class" there is only myself and two others. My wife and I started out together as AFF stuents but she dropped out after 5 jumps. Don't worry about it too much. Train hard on your emergency procedures and try as best you can to RELAX. I used to get sooooooooo tense when it was my turn to get out the door. One of my instructors made me start doing that thing you do with your finger and lips before we got out. That made me laugh and laughing made me relax. I still do it sometimes, either for myself or for someone who just looks tense. Also I started just yelling at the top of my lungs right before leaving the plane. That got rid of alot of tension. For a skydiver tension is the enemy. We all know how important it is to relax but the very act of leaving a functioning aircraft at over 2 miles up can be quite unnerving even when you want to. Anyway I concentrate on what Im doing on the jump on the ride up and it also helps me relax and enjoy my skydive. I LOVE JUST LOOKING OUT THE DOOR. ESPECIALLY WHEN I'M SPOTTING ON JUMP RUN. Only freefall is better than that feeling of knowing in a minute Im outta here! I guess what Im saying to you is with time I think you will get better and do fine. Best Wishes..... Had three great jumps at Cross Keys on Wednesday. Took about 2.5 hours to get there from where I live. The best jump of the day was a 14 way. We launched a six way and even though we did'nt manage to get it all built it was still way cool. I will be traveling to X-Keys on a regular basis. I like DelMarVa. The staff there is friendly. I showed up they were on a 15 minute call with only one other load for that day. They waited for me. How cool is that? There are lots of outs and great views from altitude. Every time I visit a new dropzone I have been made to feel at home and DelMarVa was no different. I will return very soon.

Skydive Deland is a super place lots of room to pack most in A/C. A great bar and resturant. Plenty of room outside, a huge deck for observers etc. I was impressed by the whole thing. Most of all I was treated very well just like one of the family. I get that at every dropzone I visit and I really cherish it.
