Im not religious so no i don't believe they go to heaven. If there went anywhere im sure it would be hell.

Good point - typo there- too late to correct - should read "who don't force it on others"

I would say they are more deranged and radicalised to fully realise the truth and horror they will put their bodies through. Not radicalised in the sense they are in fairly land , but from a Western point of view, you would have to be pretty fucked up to do that, and "mad" so they do ont understand the concept of bravery.

Agreed there certainly would be dead agaist an alliance. Although say there was a big "what if" and china poltically threatened that country, their policy might be forced to change. It is hard to know who would alliance, as this issue is fairly recent in peoples minds i guess compared to say with Iraq and the alliajces there

ive only seen a few but most were only of average quality.IMHO

a charity run? That often is good becuase it attatcs visitors - ticket money and vending stalls can be used to raise even more not to mention sponsorship money.

If china became too powerful, then the USA could ally with other countries to challenge them. That might equal the power. I don't wanna see China personally take the lead until they become more democratic.

I totally agree with your point. The bible contradicts itself - we are all equal yet homosexuals aren't supposedly in their eyes? Gay priests, providing they force it on others who are unwilling, should be allowed

altimeters : digital vs analog
Mike111 replied to agent_lead's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
This is something I always debated with myself, cause I found it hard to read the dial on some smaller altimetersw and liked the idea of a large digital readout; However I was advised on here to stick with what ive used so far, - analogue cause its cheaper and cause transition early on could cause problems. analogues ive found are very easy to use when you get used to them. -
thanks, I will do, I just thought it could help if I had some ideas to go to him with. Cause Im only a newbie so have no real idea of what to really say accurately apart from the generalisation in my post.

I was reading in the BPA CH manual that a slow controlled flare in which the toggles reach the last position as your feet touch the ground is the way to go. However ,not to be stubborn or inentionally differnt,I always did a sudden and quick yank of a flare just before I hit the ground - a lot faster flare than some others and have landed on my feet most of the time. Is this dangerous? does it cause problems Im unawre of? Thanks for the advice.

I know what you mean by too tight leg strapss - my legs always ache under canopy becuase they are too tight but I prefer it that way as I know I won't fall out. Im only a student so can't comment but Im always told I can take my helmet off after like 2k incase of an emergency bailout, and put it on at 8-9k. That seems fair becuase its too uncomfortable to wear it for 30 min ride. Should I wear it incase? probably but thats one step too far for me personally. I m kitted up in every other area so it shouldn't pose too much of a problem

NEVER let the toggles up if you flare high!!!! (pics)
Mike111 replied to Viking's topic in Safety and Training
PLFing seems hard to do when flaring. my natural insticnt is to bend mylegs and land on em. -
Welcome and good luck with the rest of your progression

I agree. i think the guys on the ground are doing a fantastic job, but more troops would be necessary. Unfortunately easier said than done

i think the first reason is the reason used, and it may well be genuine but money and spoils sure do come into it. To what extent depends on the context.
