Errr.... I don't think thats true. My friend uses WinMX with no problems. you still use iTunes as the interface but i'm fairly sure you download the music straight into the iTunes files. Never try to eat more than you can lift

Yep! You obviously know something!!! You can also convert any cd's into MP3 files and it makes them much more portable. eg. i have somewhere in the region of 200 albums downloaded onto my ipod. yes - ipod is the apple brand. they are very stylish and well designed and no other manufacturer has one that beats it yet on all fronts, some have better battery life, some have better sound quality.... but as a complete package, the ipods are right up there Depends.... your main attributes are: storage, this can range anywhere from 10's of songs worth, to 60Gb plus - which will ptake 100's of hours worth of music Portability - this tends to go hand in hand with storage - less storage = smaller unit Battery life - some of the early apples including mine had issues with this but i think its sorted now. Looks - personally i think you can't beat the apples but some of the new sonys are pretty slick amongst others i am sure there are lots of features the salesman will try and sell you... but most players have similar functionality Not familiar with US prices, but at this price point you are probably looking at one of the smaller players. am sure someone from the US will chime in here.....
