I am not saying it was not a good movie with a qualifying story line; I knew it was based on a true story before I went, just thought it would have a little more...umfff...to it. I do not doubt it's accuracy at all, it just seemed slow. NKAWTG...N

Served w/Marines in Kandahar, Afghanistan for six months before I became a Boom. I was a Firefighter then I don't think many of those guy's I did time with will like it; it just did not...feel right. Maybe I need to go jump or something

Just got back from the theatre and I have to say that I was not to terribly impressed with the movie. A good story but, it felt like they tried to hard to make a modern day Full Metal Jacket. I am not saying don't go see it; it was just a little disappointing. NKAWTG...N

I have seen this a few times on here and I believe it truly works! A very close friend of mine is heading to Iraq for a 12 month deployment. It is his first and I don't want it to be his last, if you know what I mean. So...could all you cool ass people send my bro Bryan some great vibes for him and his family...Thanks! The laws of other countries have no bearing, however, because military members are not citizens of foreign countries, and hence are not subject to their laws. ---------------------------------------------------------- I was in Okinawa, Japan for three years. I was witness to many of our fellow service members (AF and USMC) being held and punished under Japan law and then have to face Court Marshal proccedings. We were told time and time again that the SOFA is based off the host countries laws and taylored to agree with the UCMJ for military members. Civilians are a whole other problem. NKAWTG...N

Air Force FF/EMT for 5 years, just cross-trained to be a Boom Operator on KC-10's Still have many friends in the field, don't miss it to much. Not that much action in the DoD, everything revolves around Fire Safety, most bases lock down all the cool shit that could burn. In 5 years I was on 1 working fire, 1 suicied, a handfull of MVA's and WAY to many fucking alarm calls OH well, now I fly backwards in planes at 500 knotsand re-fuel kick ass planes...Boom...Out NKAWTG...N

SSgt in the Air Force; been in for five years now. Been jumping for six months and I can't wait to be an instructor at the Air Force Academy, Wings of Blue cadet team!!! Most memorable deployment was to Kandahar, Afghanistan; I was a Firefighter then. We saved a CH-47 Chinook helicopter with its tail rotor on fire...cool fireLater...Boom...Out NKAWTG...N
