leanne just sent this out: "We will be holding Mike Igo's memorial at Gold Coast Skydivers in Lumberton, MS on the 28th of May. We are going to start jumping around 12 PM and hold the memorial at 5 PM. I know many of you might be wondering why stop jumping so early? Mike's 90 year old mother, Rosemary, will be attending as well as his daughter, Cherie. They are traveling from Mobile and for Rosemary that is a long way. She wants to meet everyone and hear all the wonderful things the jumpers have to say about "her boy". It is going to be a long day for her and I don't want to keep her out until the wee hours of the morning. This will be her first trip to the dropzone in over 10 years. Rosemary was Michael's heart. He always took such good care of his Momma and he loved her dearly. Back on track now....please let me know if you are going to be attending as I am going to provide food and NON-alcoholic drinks for everyone. I want to make sure that I have enough so that we can just relax and enjoy each others company. Also, bring your own chair because there are only so many picnic tables. For those of you that want to camp out bring your tent or camper and make yourself at home. We are going to be jumping on Memorial Day (that Monday) so come out and make a long weekend of it. In lieu of flowers please make any donations to the Wounded Warrior Project. We will be having our kick-off for the Wounded Warrior Project this same weekend. For those of you that might not know, Mike was in the Marines and went to Vietnam for 2 tours. He was wounded both times he was there. This fundraiser we are having throughout the month of June is something Mike was a strong advocate of and supported whole heartedly. Thank you to each and everyone of you for your support. Words elude me right now. Mike made me a better person and I was so blessed to be with him by his side. Hope to see you soon. Sincerely, Leanne Igo" "Your scrotum is quite nice" - Skymama www.kjandmegan.com

its now been changed to the following weekend. leanne posted this on mike's facebook page: "Had to change the date to Friday, 28th of May. This is the definate date and I will not be changing again. This will be the kick off to The Wounded Warrior Fundraiser we are having for the month of June and it is Memorial Day weekend. What better day to kick off Memorial Day weekend? I apologize for making the change but save the date." "Your scrotum is quite nice" - Skymama www.kjandmegan.com

i've got a suggestion for you. forget about losing weight. sign up for a race and write the date on a calendar. having paid for it and having it marked on a calendar will motivate you to train for it. once you complete that race, sign up for another one. look on trifind.com, active.com, or just google around for a race. pick anything. 5k's are really fun. sprint triathlons are fun. you said you're getting a bike. maybe a bike race would be good. if you have access to a pool and don't hate swimming, i would suggest triathlon or long distance swimming. once you register for a race, train for that race. read books about training for that particular discipline. you will remain focused and your weight loss, while important, will become secondary to improving your fitness. something that works for me to stave off tedium of training is the way i structure my training. i train in each discipline only 3 time a week and cross train 2 other days. i also ramp up the workouts for three weeks and then back way down the following week. i then ramp back up so that the next peak is higher than the last. it has worked out pretty well since right about the time i'm getting burned out, i have an easy week to get back into the groove. another thing i've noticed is that i've paid a hell of a lot more attention to what i'm eating. that doesn't mean i don't eat pizza or icecream or have tasty adult beverages, it just means i do it less often. another thing that has happened (this may be completely unique to me) is that all of my weight loss has come in spurts. i will plateau for several weeks and all of the sudden i will melt of 6-10 lbs in no time. in the last 7 months i've gone from 222 to 187 with definate changes in my body composition. (even though my wife says she's just as attracted to me whether i'm fat or thin, i got laid two days in a row for the first time in several years.) try out a race, if it isn't for you, try something else, but if it works, you'll be happy with the results. do not go forward with this plan. you will fail. here are a few things wrong with your plan: by creating such a huge calorie deficit, your body is going to think it is starving and slow down your rmetabolism. it will store fat and catabolize muscle. you will lose weight, but your body fat percentage will go up. protein contains nitrogen. increasing the amount of nitrogenous waste also increases the amount of water excreted (you pee more) making you vulnerable to dehydration. high protein diets also cause you to excrete more calcium in your urine. as a woman its even more important for you to keep the calcium you've got and with rigorous exercise, you'll need it to strengthen your bones. if you keep up this plan for 10 weeks, you will feel like shit, and you won't look good enough to justify the misery you will put yourself through. if you want to lose weight, feed your body the right fuel and exercise. you also must feed your body enough fuel. your daily calorie deficits should be small, and you should make sure you are getting the right things at the right times with respect to your workouts. the weight will not come off as quick as you want, but your metabolism will ramp up and your body composition will change. you will look and feel much better in the end. think of it as an investment. in your line of work, looking healthier (and hotter) can command more money than just being skinny. i agree you need to remove the toilet yourself. before you do, take a look at the inner workings of the tank. if anything doesn't look close to new, take this opportunity to replace all the innards and hardware. it will set you back about $25 for a kit that will replace everything. just write down the brand of toilet so the guy working at whatever store you go to can give you the right kit. also pick up a wax ring and some rubber or latex gloves. chances are that once you pull the toilet, you will be able to reach the obstruction from the under side. and yes, you can use a shop vac to get water out if its a wet/dry shop vac. once you get your toilet back in and working properly, call the company he works for and let them know what their employee is up to. i have zero motivation to work out today

no iron man for me, training for that is far too comsuming. i could do a half ironman some day, but i would want to have some grandparents around for a little childcare to train for that. "Your scrotum is quite nice" - Skymama www.kjandmegan.com -

i usually feel great after a good long workout too, but wednesday was an exception. i felt good, but pretty fatigued. i don't know how to describe how i usually feel. i'm usually tired, but also feel very relaxed and somewhat serene (at least as serene as i can be with a 2, 4, and 6 year old in the house). i have zero motivation to work out today
TrophyHusband replied to TrophyHusband's topic in The Bonfire
i may have overdone it early in the week. the way i've structured my training if to build up the intensity and duration of my workouts for three week, and then back it way off for the fourth week. i then ratchet it back up so that the next peak week is more intense than the last peak week. each week i work out 5 times. since my next event is mainly a long distance swimming event, i swim 3 days, bike 1 day, and run 1 day. my swims consist of i day of intense intervals, one day of drills, and one long swim. my cross training days would be shorter than they currently are, but only 6 weeks after my long swim i have a triathlon. i'm trying to keep my running and biking endurance up. not only because of the short duration to train for the tri, but because my schedule will cause interuptions as well. on monday i had planned on riding for 20 miles (this being a peak week). i was feeling great so i kept riding. i ended up riding 43 miles, more than 20 farther than my previous longest ride. this may be part of the reason for my lack of motivation. btw, i blew off today's workout and got a haircut instead. i may still try to swim tomorrow though. if not, fuck it. i may not have improved my swimming this week, but i improved my overall fitness. i'm scheduled for a 4000 yard swim today and i really don't feel like it. physically i feel fine, but mentally i'm just not there. i would love to blow off this workout, but i'm training for a 5K run/5K swim so its kinda important that I swim. i blew off my 2000 yard swim yesterday, but i felt justified. i needed to use that time to get my truck serviced plus a ran 10 miles the day before. i have no good excuse today. at this point my plan is to drag myself to the pool and start my workout and see how long i last. Sexist bigots punish men due to prejudice
TrophyHusband replied to billvon's topic in Speakers Corner
When did it become a crime to be made of snips, snails and puppy dog tails? And even so, the poor men don't have any control over how they're made, they were just born that way. SAVE THE MEN! it also doesn't help that ther are all those women who do not dress modestly lead young men astray. "Your scrotum is quite nice" - Skymama www.kjandmegan.com -

the scratch and dent stuff we've found so far would be fine, but its all been smaller units. i have three boys who generate a lot of laundry and will only generate more in the future so i want the mega capacity washer and dryer. "Your scrotum is quite nice" - Skymama www.kjandmegan.com

if rei is cheap as hell then that shit must be really expensive down there. i agree with the other poster that if your going to do it that way and give it away, go to walmart. if you plan on keeping the gear and using it alot, spring for the rei stuff. after doing a bunch of reseach, we settled on a golden retriever for the family dog. she's definately lived up to our expectations. we were given a standard poodle, and surprisingly she was a perfect family dog as well. her temperment is nothing like the little ankle biter poodles, and she doesn't shed. she's incredible friendly, great with kids, doesn't give a crap about chasing cats, and loves other dogs. every standard poodle owner i've talked to has had the same experience. we won't be getting another dog for a long, long time, but when we do it will be a standard poodle. at one time we adopted a dog from the shelter. he bit one of my kids so he had to go back. we also considered a ge profile at a local store for about the same amount of money. i wanted to go that direction, but meg liked the samsung better. (i do all the laundry, i'm not sure why she gets to pick). the gm i spoke with said that he was just following the market. he said all the other stores in the area raised their prices as well, so he was just following them. he refused to admit that there could possibly have had any connection to the flood of people that would be buying new appliances this friday due to the rebates, but at least he was willing to work with me. i always ask for my military discount. there's one clerk who rolls her eyes at me every time i do it. once she actually said something to me about it. when i asked if she would take advantage of a 10% discount if she could, she said that she could get the military discount but chose not to. i'm not sure what her problem is. this certain form of economic system must have worked for me. i called lowes customer service who put me in touch with the local lowes general manager. i told him that i would be purchasing a washer and dryer set on friday morning and that if he would sell me the one i had originally decided on for the price it was previously marked i would buy at lowes, otherwise i would be buying at a different store. he agreed to sell me the set for the lower price. voting with my dollars worked.
