    that may have been true back in the 60's, but its no longer "usual practice" to only hire white males. i'm not saying it doesn't happen, its just no longer standard practice. this country has made such great progress in its attitudes about women and minorities in a relatively short time. those that fought for equal rights have won. attitudes get better with every generation. you should stop fighting the war and celebrate the victory.     you are dead wrong. i worked as a technician along side union welders (pipefitters and boilermakers) for four years and not a single day went by that these goons didn't try to tell me that i needed to be union. i tried to explain there wasn't a union for me, but it didn't matter. they said i should be union anyway. i told them i had a very good deal and that there was no guarentee that i would get as good of a deal if the techs joined the union. i had to be very carefulabout what i said against a union, because one thing you never do in front of a union man is speak ill of the union. i had the pipefitters union calling me to pressure me to join the union. there is no way in hell that unions wouldn't intimidate people into signing those cards. the vote must be private in order for the workers to really get what they want.     i've been getting about a call a day each on my cell phone and my wife's cellphone, and one every few days on the home phone from some company trying to sell me a warrenty for our car. we're also averaging about 1 letter or postcard per day. this is getting really fucking annoying. what the fuck is with calling my cell phone? i've told them several times to remove my numbers from their list, but the calls keep coming. who do i report this to, and can they get in trouble for this? can i charge them money for cell my cell phone minutes they use. fuck these assholes. if they don't stop calling my, they will become my new hobby.
