hey peeps.. Im in the process of getting my rig.. i wana get the skyhook for my vector3 ..do all riggers in the uk know how to maintain the system and repack it? Just wondered if its a standard thing? Thanks

Ive never had this happen to me at any DZ in the uk (maybe havnt jumped enough to know) and never at emporia. One jump that stands out was one of my fist three ways just after i got my Fs1 , every1 else was of the same experience. We took forever in the door as sum1 made a fumble and sum1 didnt see the key, we didnt get shouted out in the plane every1 was fine and some very experienced jumper were on there. However we got a Bollo*ing from one of our instuctors on the ground which we all knew was cumming, i think this should be the way forward rather that screaming at sum1 in the plane, they have to remeber they were a newbie once and everyone has different experience levels! Saftey should be the main priority, was there enough space, spot ect.. I have seen alot of experienced jumpers that tend to look down on you cause your a newbie Why is this, you would have thought it would be the opposite. Its only from them passing the knowlegde on that this sport can evolve. Maybe im wrong but i know a few people that think this is the case awsell.

you did all of this in 10 jumps!! i got my sit(turns,transitions) in 5 jumps and i was told that was quick. 10 jumps till head down! hope my training gose that well

Dnt own any skydving dvds but probably the best 2 DVDs i ever bought are: 2nd BASE - had to buy it from a shop in australia on the net!! RADIX - might still being sold on ebay where i got it Both base dvds, but for thrills and spills, some of the best base you will ever see and amazing seneary from around the world, these are definatly the gifts u wana buy.

so many of these stories now.. i live uk and i dnt reli know anything about the court case's, but i think the head of the american skydiving acsocaion (whatever its called) should reli do sumthing about this.. afta all its just giving a bad reputation to skydiving. over hear we have the "office of trading standards" if any company is screwing people over in anyway they investigate and close em down.. is there not sumthin like that ? or has this already bin dun?

There was a News report on Tv in the US recently saying Skyride was a scam.. the clip can be seen on skydivingmovies.com.. hava look and judge for yourself

Well i relise that this is totally a personal opinion.. most people have been telling me stick with uni do your degree and then go do wat you wana do and maybe i will. Ive only been skydiving for a year now with almost 80 jumps.. ( have been trying to jump as much as possible .. but i do live in the uk:) ) spent close to £7500 (just ordered a new Vector3 ;) ) I know im only a newbie but i still have the enthusiam as i did after my first AFF level and am totaly hooked. I know i would be making more money if i were to finish my degree and sit behind a desk for years and i would need alot more jumps. If anything i think i would want to be a instructor, camera or tandem master. I know there is not a huge amount of money to be made, but its the lifstyle choice i have to make , sitting behind a desk or flying high! Also the thought of "Wat If" you only live once. I realy just want opinons of other people that have been in this situation.. wether it be uni a job or other commitments. Wether you chose a job in skydiving or sumthing that pushed you away from it. Not expecting alot of posts but any advice would be great.. thanks guys!!

what is the jump limit before you can start to learn to fly a wing suit any1??

Hi peepes.. well to cut a long story short looking to buy my first freefly suit and cnt decide between Sonic and Matter both being leading manufactuers of freefly suits. Speaking to a few people i hav heard variying views on the 2 with names attachted to sonic such as Babylon and Aria and others to matter... i would like to hear some views, comments and differences.. if any, so i can make up my mind up!! Also is it all in one suit definatly better than a jacket and pants. Plz post as many comments as possible!!!!!!

Hiya all u sky junkies... im jus of the back of completing my AFF and consoles with flying clolurs and am ready to go into the market to buy some gear....any adivice on containers ? i was lookin at a atom lengend r.. any good?? The main issue here tho is the canopy size i dnt want some idiot selling me a 120 and end up killing myself!!! I did all of my AFF and consoles on a 200... i weigh jus under 10 stone (9`13) which for all those yanks is 63 kg.. so wat size should i be looking do downgrade to???? thanks for the help
