Yo Ray, Glad to hear that you got my, I mean...your canopy back!!! By the way, I found Dag-I combed the hospitals, jails & ditches. He is at my house getting tanked on Ketel One & Red Bull right now. How much do you think the Norgies will pay me in ransom to return him??? To bad you are Norwegian, you could fill in his slot if he doesnt make it back to Deland.

Mikey Myers has been working in west palm this winter on boats. He has been out and about doing some video when the money is there. But he has been taking a bit of a break from jumping fulltime for the winter.

I use about 1 inch bites for my velocity...cuts down on the line twists...soft openings as well.

There is a shooting range on 512, a 5 to 10 minute bike ride from the DZ. Bang a right onto 512 from Roseland and head towards 95. They rent guns and sell ammo there... Happy hunting!

Not only did they make mention of the moves, but you could watch them live over videophone from the roof of a Hummer with the 7th Cavalry. I watched them roll past native goat hearders through the desert. You could also see them all get out of their tanks and stretch their legs, grab a bite to eat and then roll on. Fascinating TV. Didnt want to miss a single bit of it. It was on CNN for atleast a couple of hours. Then I fell asleep.

I know that we had discussed this issue a little on some other threads, but... So I am breaking of from a jump yesterday and I am turning and tracking. As I turn 180, I see this really big brown & white thing right in front of me. It was a bald eagle about 10-15 feet away. It was huge. I had to stop my track to avoid hitting this thing. It spooked me pretty good, because it was the last thing that I would expect to see in freefall. I am guessing the thing could have weighed quite a bit...I certainly wouldnt have wanted to hit it, but I am pretty sure that I could if I wanted to (it was that close). Other people saw it too, so I am not hallucinating again. very bizarre...

Same here in Sebastian...although I do know of some DZs that can be pretty lax about that "rule".

In theory, most DZs require you to be current at that DZ for the day. You should be familiar with the DZ, current conditions, etc BEFORE you do a night jump. I am assuming that is why he was asking. Have you jumped there before??? I am not quite sure if I would want to be doing a night jump on my first jump at a DZ. I guess he was giving you some shit for safety reasons if that was what he was getting at, but he could have been giving you shit because you didnt do a day jump and the DZ wants to get more money out of you for jumptickets. Dont know, but I wouldnt worry about it.

I own both...but the odyssey...WAY MORE COMFORTABLE!!! I am not going to get into safety details about tucktabs, etc. Everything is TSO'd and there are no problems freeflying in either of them. Given that they are both safe, you should go on comfort & looks. I personally thing that the Javelin looks much nicer. That may not be your opinion, but if you are going to go on comfort...try on an odyssey. I feel paranoid sometimes because I forget that I have a rig on. Its the best rig on the market, in my opinion. From what I hear, the lead times are a bit long, so order now. If you want to bitch about how a company is run...I would definately rather deal with SunPath, than Mirage...that place is a Mickey Mouse operation, I guess they learned that from the start though.

me...best investment that I ever put into skydiving. went to Search II with 100 jumps...left with 120, got on a 4way team with other members that had over 800 jumps each, then got my AFF rating with 360 jumps. It worked for me. if you got specific questions pm me.
