You may want to read the "Rotorheads" forum on the PPRUNE site here. Many of the folks who post there are pro helicopter pilots from around the world. If you read the posts going back a few years you can begin to get a feel for what those guys have to deal with and what the prospects are. Cheers, shall

Okay, there's this, which is a great read, but I'm not sure that's it...

Thanks...I was hoping for something less-french................ Ah, I see. Well, then this oughta do ya.

Okay, you asked. Natasha St. Pier I'm listening to this one these days. Ok, so she's French-Canadian, but wow, what a voice ! Happy francaise.

Hotties from back in the day.....Who is the hottest?

No, no, no. Jean Seberg. -
I really like "Old Tire Wash." It's brewed in North Dakota -- sure, they have a short growing season, but hey. They sell the actual grapes to some company that makes jelly. They use the stems and roots left over to make the wine. Mmm. Just savoring the aroma one thinks of motor oil and week-old clams, dockside. It's unmatched, I tell ya...

Boiled bacon.

Take a big sword. No one can get close to it if you have a big sword. Defend it with cold steel, I say ! shall

Ralph. Or perhaps, Norman. -
I usually stay in the little, neighboring town called Horley, at a B&B. There's a *great* pub in Horley called The Old Six Bells that dates back to about 900 AD. I usually make it my "home base" when doing the tourist thing in London - -only a 20-30 minute train ride to London.

The frammis. Definitely the frammis. Or possibly the bilge-pump.

what was the worst canopy youve ever jumped?

5-cell Parafoil. It always *opened*, it just had the glide ratio of a buttered safe. Oh, and it was a real sniveller, too. I think it was actually made of surplus curtains... -
I like to use a felt-tip pen. Write the address in the middle and put the stamp in the upper right corner.

No, no, no. This is a Borneo Death Spider. Just breathing the air around it has been known to cause death within 90 years for over *90%* of the people who've been near them ! Run! Run away !

Acceptable words to replace curse words..HELP Please

Memorize Darren McGavin's "swear" dialogue from A Christmas Story. "You rabbid saggdeba! You ohbed sowf!" From the narrator: "in the heat of battle, my father wove a tapestry of obscenity which to this day is still hovering somewhere over Lake Michigan" -
I own an Xb ( the boxy one ). I've had it for 2-1/2 years. It's well-made, cheap to own ( 31 mpg in the city, 34 on the highway ) and roomy. Toyota, in my experience, makes great-quality products. shall555

Heh. At our DZ, a bad approach decision gets the raised eyebrow + stern lecture treatment for the first screwup. More than one and I think they take ya out behind the hangar for a "Come to Yahweh" meeting... It's not usually a problem at our low-traffic club, though.

Just a guess, but this person "connan" is a lawyer. Please, folks, don't reply with any details to folks suddenly popping up looking for someone. It might be that they don't want to be found. shall

You need to operate the reset fremble on your vortex perambulator. That'll take care of ya...

I'm a self-made thousandaire ! Does that count ?

No, no. You left out Robert Duvall. Anyone that can do 'Apocalypse Now', 'The Paper', 'The Apostle', 'Let's get Harry', 'Wrestling Ernest Hemingway', 'Rambling Rose' ( "Rose, you're as graceful as the letter S" ), 'The Great Santini' ? Sheesh. This man has written his name *large* on the cinema of the last half of the twentieth century...

Yeah, Steve was the first guy to greet me when I stumbled into Skydive New Mexico's hangar last year. He was a gentle soul. He'd apparently had some health problems over the past year. But he was always there to help out at the DZ and to teach, when he could. Heck, he taught me how to pro-pack, which is like teaching an aardvark to aviate. I can only hope he's flying free, now. shall
