Vancouver area boogies...decisions, decisions...
TaylorC replied to cjdskydiver's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Both are equally just as good boogies. The northwest Boogie is my favorite boogie of the year personally. Never had bad weather during the Northwest boogie but have had some shitty weather expierences during the Westcoast skyflyerz boogie. Try and hit both if you can. -
15-way sit round attempt at Skydive Arizona ---COME AND PLAY!!!
TaylorC replied to amychmelecki's topic in Freeflying
you guys do this from 12.5K or did you go higher? -
What is wrong with the canopies you guys are currently jumping? Why not stick with them for a few hundred more jumps and learn to fully fly them before moving to something else? Seems like everyone is in a race these days to downsize and jump the latest radical canopies and end up either dead or injured. Its post like these that i never refer new jumpers to dz.com.

There is a lot of diffrent ways to do docks. You can counter with your legs, your back, your shoulders, head and your arms. Countering with your arms though will really limit you in the long run though once you start taking more than one dock at a time. Find a good coach in your area who can show you ways to take docks.

Dam that's fast!! Was that a test or a real life use? Is the DRX a one time use like an AAD squib or is it something that can be reloaded after a cut away? that was a demo jump up at kamloops may meet done by ward from Mirage

http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=45396815290 Not sure if this works or not but go to 2:41 in the video and thats the DRX in action

jump either system once and you will never want to jump without one again i know i don't after my first cutaway with one. A lot of people don't understand that the skyhook and DRX are not the same as an RSL.

they don't use the rockin firkin anymore for dinners and shit :( That place kinda went to crap.

if sail material is supposed to be so bad ass then why would PD not make there velocitys out of it? just out of curiousity
-
last time i talked to one of the guys who is in charge of the tunnel ground was being broken this month and another thing i heard is that construction has already started.
-
yeah like others have said it is possible to be the parachute. Try and get someone at your DZ to jump it who doesn't have problems with line twists on there current canopy and see if it does it for them.

may not be realizing it but you could be moving your body a bit when your looking up

so no one has done a box change on a rawa before?
-
Has anyone here done this before? I am getting a new camera today and was planning on ordering a new box for my rawa and was wondering how much work went into replacing the box?

i am kinda lazy but i have read the whole thread except the big post. How will this thing effect skydivers who are not students anymore? -

Wondering how often skyventure tunnels in the US hire people from outside the USA. Also wondering if anyone knows if any of the tunnels including the montreal one is hiring at the moment?

FLCPA competition schedule announced
TaylorC replied to frost's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Not sure about the birds. But if Chris is back in Ontario, I suspect he will be watching a whole lot of snow on the ground before it even begins to melt. I know these are just words, but I should seriously look into getting my sorry frozen Canadian ass down to one of those FL swoop comps this coming season. can you still swoop steve? -
hmm any dates for these camps yet? gonna be in eloy in january and wouldn't mind hitting one of these up
