Humans have a parasitic relationship with the earth. It is not symbiotic, we do nothing to benefit the earth. Maybe a little mitigation of damage we are doing, but we provide no benefit that the earth needs from us. Parasites that grow out of control kill their hosts. Therefore, our growth must be kept in check, or the host will die. Or, minimally, the host will not sustain us so that our entire population suffers and whithers until brought back down to a manageable population. I'd rather we had less people living better lives overall. That's why I introduce you to the counterpart to the 16child family. The Voluntary Human Extinction Movement

Hmmm....looks to me from your list that they're pretty even handedly opposed to legislation. I consider that a good thing in the "land of the free". But to each his own. The ACLU also defended the KKK in court...pro bono. I think it's great that there are people who will defend anyone and everyone from the government, no matter who they are. If you'd prefer to bend over for the winners of a popularity contest (elected officials) you don't need to enlist their help.

I agree. Not even close. I don't think many catholics or protestants want to kill each other in the US. Probably the closest comparison for the US would be blacks vs. whites.

Yes...but they are a very very miniscule percentage of those receiving aid. Guess what...the looters in NO are probably getting assistance right now, too. Sometimes people game the system. That doesn't mean the system is broken.

When in high school, we'd always try to get invited to parties where all the parochial school kids were going. Why? Because the Catholic school girls put out way more than the public school girls. Well, usually it was just oral because then they stayed "virgins" and could still go to heaven (they rationalized). But we took what we could get. -

First, I'm a Bush hater because I love the USA Second, I hope their constitution succeeds. But seeing that Bush has been wrong about everything else he predicted for Iraq, I don't think it's likely, and that's a shame. Third, Bush is the worst thing to happen to America in my lifetime. So it seems to me, Bush supporters are those that hate the USA. Fourth...funny how you capitalize Bush, but not "usa". Where do your loyalties really lie?
