  1. When did I ever say parents shouldn't be involved? That's where you keep losing me. I said a pregnant teen shouldn't be forced to involve their parents if they don't want to. If they don't want to involve them in a decision that important, I've got to think there's a damn good reason for it. Like maybe they're afraid of being forced to do something they rather wouldn't that would screw up their lives forever. No one is trying to take parents out of the loop. We just don't want them forced into the picture through legislation.
  2. Have you gone to any of the websites? Hell...I have a hard time telling it's not a legit dropzone. Here's one... http://www.skydivephiladelphia.com They even have info for experienced jumpers about repacks, etc. But it's all bogus. And, I believe they DO advertise in some yellow pages as well.
  3. Ok...I rescind my earlier statement. If YOU get preganant I do want you to get an abortion.
  4. I believe they were Glock 9mm.
  5. GTA addressed the consent part, so I'll skip that. Because an abortion is unique in that the psychological and life altering consequences of the decision either way will be carried by the individual forever. No one should make that decision for anyone else, whether its the gov't or parents. Getting a mole removed or getting your tonsils out is a different story. Please drop the rhetoric about people thinking everyone should have an abortion. No one thinks that. Some people do think that everyone should have the ability to get one in a safe environment WITHOUT anyone else interfering. As far as liability and waiving rights, if as you claim this is an exception to the law to allow teens to get an abortion, than it should be a no brainer granting an exception to civil liability for those providing the service provided they are properly trained and licensed to do so.
  6. No one could tell you you're wrong and you'd never know that you were, because dying is the only way to prove it one way or the other. You die anyway, even though there was no bomb. At that point it doesn't matter much...but what did you miss out on while spending your time spreading word about the non-existent bomb?
  7. Even better is a pork loin covered with kraut cooking in a crockpot all day. That's the PA Dutch traditional New Year's day good luck meal.
  8. Yes. I don't know about you, but I drank under age. My parents let me. They'd rather have me drink a few beers at home, then go somewhere else to hide it from them and then get in a car to come home. And so do a lot of parents. Like forcing kids who aren't psychologically capable of dealing with it to continue their pregnancy. I don't think the courts should facilitate parents to take this decision away from the person it will affect for the rest of their lives. Bottom line is any kid with a good relationship with their parents will probably talk with them about it anyway. Any kid who doesn't, would probably rather go to a back alley for the abortion or kill themselves.
  9. If you choose wrong, you could modify your entire way of life and spend all your time waiting for it to blowup. Do you want to take that chance?
  10. Raiders and Jets have both expressed interest in him. I'd love to see him and Moss on the same team. That way we can bet on who kills who first
  11. Black widows aren't really deadly to humans unless you get bit by a bunch of them and don't go to the hospital for a couple days. But...it's supposedly REALLY freakin' painful.
  12. That was the point dear....sarcasm Anything with mayo is gross to me.
  13. See..it'd be like me telling you that I like to eat bull testicles as if it were wierd. You'd be all like "That's not weird...we eat bull balls all the time. In fact, I'm popping some bull balls in my mouth right now."
  14. How's this for off the wall? I like peanut butter WITH jelly!! And sometimes french fries with....KETCHUP! Pretzels with mustard as well as sauerkraut are pretty much staples around here.
  15. If they didn't immediately drop to the floor I would fire. If they started fleeing before I got a bead on them, no, I wouldn't shoot them in the back. But if I've got someone covered and tell them to get on the floor, I'm not going to wait around too long to see if they're going to comply, run, or shoot me. If they make a sudden move in any direction I'm assuming they're going for their own weapon and protecting myself. I don't want to kill anyone either. But I don't want to die. And I just can't seem to give an intruder in my house the benefit of the doubt that they don't mean me harm.
  16. Once again....slowly for those having trouble with the concept..... I do NOT advocate price controls on gasoline or penalizing oil companies for making a profit. I advocate an investigation into collusion to artificially inflate prices within the oil industry.
  17. That's the way it works MOST places here as well. Although it will vary slightly state to state. A couple of states do allow deadly force to protect property, but I believe that's only Fl and Tx. You know...the good Christian states
  18. your rig will be less likely used to kill/injure people... I know a lot more people that have died skydiving than getting shot.
  19. I would pull my gun and yell "get down on the ground". If they made any kind of move other than a face plant on the floor...I'd fire. Not only would I fire, I'd put 2 in their chest and on in the head. I'm not giving someone a chance to kill me. And if they're in my house uninvited stealing my stuff, I don't think it's a stretch to think they may be capable of that as well.
  20. Right because coke is a necessary and fundamental key to functioning in the world today, and is a cornerstone of our economy.
  21. If you're asleep in bed and are awakened by a burglar rummaging around in your bedroom. Are you going to wait for them to come at you with a knife before you do anything? If anyone shoots a Burglar that they KNOW is unarmed...they should be prosecuted. But if someone is in my house, I'm not going to wait and see. I assume they'll kill me.
  22. And if you can't afford that...well...too bad.
  23. Yeah...I read that post and the only thing I could think was.......but the fire is in the guy's imagination in the first place. That puts it in a totally different light.
  24. So is the state helping me get drunk nightly because there's no law against it? Your rationale is off. Not restricting you from doing something is NOT the same as helping you to do it.
