The first time I ever jumped a Vector II, I was borrowing the rig from a guy. I didn't bother to ask your question and I tried to sit fly with it. I got a premature opening at around 5,000 and almost got creamed by the person sitting right above and to the side of me. When I got on the ground, I discovered an extremely loose bridal which was the cause of the premo. Luckily it didn't turn into a horseshoe. With that in mind, if I were to jump a Vector II again, I'd have my rigger install some form of better bridal protection first and foremost. Second, I'd seriously consider not sitting with that container and just sticking to some RW work. Hope this helps!!! The key to being a good teacher, is to be a good listener...

Hey Everyone, FFX, who has em and what do you think of them? According to DZ.com, the FFX has been discontinued but it appears that on 2k composite's website, they're still selling them... What are the big differences between the FFX and the FF2 other than the way the camera gets inserted into the helmet itself? Any info on pros/cons of the FFX would be a great help... Thanks! Took care of 98,99, and magic 100 this weekend. Naked 99 with naughty nurses was a fun one. Right after my AFF level 3&4 my instructors saw me fit to do my first 2 solos. I did one from 5,000 and one from 8,000. On my 8,000 foot jump, I left the plane arched super hard, on heading and I looked up at the plane and saw my DZO turning the plane almost 90 degrees to look out the door and wave at me. We were both laughing and I gave him a little salute and enjoyed my FIRST 8,000 foot solo jump during a beautiful sunset. The key to being a good teacher, is to be a good listener...

I didn't even realize I was approaching 3000 until I looked down and I could start spotting the power lines and license plates on cars. Luckily I hadn't panicked and I pulled with plenty of time. So, What's the stupidest thing you've ever done during you're skydiving career? I think I accomplished that one this past weekend. Had a guy track away right on top of me so I ended up pulling at 1900 feet cause I had to turn and track in a different direction. Better planning on the ground would have changed that a lot.
