  1. Two things: Under "Main Container Design" you make it sound like you can close all 4 flaps in any order. This is not exactly true. Left and right, yes. But not top and bottom. And you missed a very important factor about the Racer: you can buy (have installed) both the main and reserve cut-away handles as slim D ring design.
  2. It must be all those hybrid vehicles on the road slowing the trend these past 12 years. Which means we must be doing the right thing. We need more hybrid vehicles on the road!!! Thanks brenthutch for pointing this out to us.
  3. Additionally it is the culture of pro-kids, if you want to call it that. Think about it, what is the first thing people say when they hear “I’m pregnant” or “I just had a boy/girl”. First thing I usually hear is “Congratulations”. Like it was some great accomplishment to have sex. What we should be saying is “I’m so sorry. Now you have to spend all this time and money on your kids. Sucks to be you.” Ok, seriously where am I going with this? You have someone here who probably gets no positive reinforcement in their life except when they have a kid. I just got pregnant – congratulations. I just got pregnant again – congratulations!! To these people there are no real major downsides to having kids. My guess would be that she doesn’t really have any goals in life. So living in a 1/2 bedroom apartment to me would be a punishment – to her it probably isn’t. The best phrase I’ve heard is “I don’t worry about money, because I don’t have any money.” But that is a totally different mentality, when I personally didn’t have any money – I worried about it. I like having that freedom that having money gives you. They don’t so there is no incentive to move beyond their “class”. Just my opinion.
  4. I agree with you on this. But this argument holds no water when you consider helmets like the G3. That is a new helmet (remember the G2?). They had to tool up for the G3. Although to be fair, I don't know how much of the tool had to change to make the G3 or is it a new tool all together? Either way, you can't claim that they didn't think about these small form factor cameras in the design process. They make a side mount specifically for the contour. All they really have had to do is make that mount in such a way as it isn't a snag hazard (or at least reduce the potential of a snag). They of course chose not to do that. As many people I see asking questions about how to mount a camera on the helmet, also means that the market is not small. Although how many people are willing to pay for a good mount is an entirely different discussion. I would, but then again I don't bitch about the cost of skydiving equipment like so many people seem to do. Outside of that, I agree completely with everything you said.
  5. No, it is quiet because there is nothing new here. Move along. Nothing to see. Next thread please. This happens in everything. We went to war over 9-11 right? Now remind me again, how many people died, 3000? That's nothing. If they came over here and killed 10 people a day - every day - for a year you think it would even make the news? So reaction in this country isn't about the number of deaths/injuries/financial loss. It is about how sensational the event can be. Not because of the actual event itself.
  6. If she has hard evidence, the other thing that could be done is call the local media. It is amazing how some things that "can't be done" actually get done when the media gets involved. If there is no hard evidence, then there isn't a lot she can (and IMO should be able to do) besides being able to protect herself. But that is a different subject/discussion.
  7. +1. I would be all for some hellfire missiles raining down on those who are trying to get into this country illegally. And so what if we take out some innocent people every once in a while. That is just the price for security. We accept the TSA at airports. This is just one more thing we would have to live with.
  8. The real question here is why isn't the helmet manufacturers making a full face helmet with the ability to mount a go pro/contour camera without snag points or MORE importantly with a quick release? Skysystems tried to do it a while ago with the sidewinder but I haven't seen anything recently. It seems to me that they are WAY behind the times as these cameras have been out for a while now (meaning long before the G3 and most of the newer helmets from other manuf. came out) but yet they seem to be missing the boat on making a helmet that is requested by their customers. Or is it that no one from manufacturers browse these forums and we as individuals don't relay our desires to the manufacturers. I personally have been waiting for at least the past 8 years for a good full face camera helmet - even a dedicated one. But haven't found anyone who makes one - even custom.
  9. But I like those types of movies. If they were such a problem, then I suspect that since the Hobbit was #1 at the box office lately we should expect a drastic rise in sword violence, mace/club violence, and many people going on rampages with bows and arrows.
  10. You don't even have to go back that far. All you have to do is see that Russia couldn't win in Afghanistan. And they went in with a lot more than we ever did, IMO. But I know, I know, we are just so much better than anybody else in the world.
  11. Wasn't that a line in Star Wars? And that was said a long, long time ago.* So this is nothing new. *In a far, far away galaxy.
  12. Maybe you should change your signature line to "God bless my wife"
  13. More appropriate than having the taxpayers pick up the tab for some lazy cunt's (and lazy dick's) kids for the next 18+ years.
  14. You could have lots of points without a Z axis. You don't even need a Y either. But without a Y axis, you couldn't draw a line in the sand. Or follow Fidelity Investments' green line to retirement. However without the Z axis, beauty would only be skin deep. And we would all look like we are characters from South Park.
  15. In Egypt, the people are fighting for their rights in the present day. In the USA, the people fought for their rights some 200 years ago.
  16. I would so buy a Model S if I had the disposable income for that car. Unfortunately, I skydive.
  17. So what you are saying is the Felix wasn't the first person to break the sound barrier while skydiving?
  18. I know my knowledge on GPS is kind of out-of-date, but the GPS signal from the satellites was based on a 1 Hz rate. Therefore no hardware could update faster if using the GPS signal than once per second. That is unless they are using software to extrapolate your position between the two samples received from the satellites.
  19. If you are also looking for formal coaching, I would recommend you check out Skydive University. There is a campus in DeLand amongst other places. Of course it also depends on if you want to pay someone to jump with you (which it sounds like you do) or just do some good learning jumps with experienced skydivers.
  20. Why? So we can f#@k over that new world? We move in, destroy the natural environment and then move on to the next one. We as a society need to change our philosophy first before we get the advances to traverse solar systems. Otherwise, the Matrix (Agent Smith) is right - we are a virus that needs to be exterminated.
  21. Because this happened under a Democratic president. And we all know that whatever happens in this country whether it is good or bad happens solely because of the presidents actions. No other reason.
  22. There is no chance for a third party candidate to win. Even if they did win the popular vote, do you think for a second that the electoral college won't just vote in their favorite candidate? Until we abolish the electoral college, there is no chance for a third party candidate.
