  1. Actually I think it was important to them at THAT time. It has become less important in today's age. As proof, I submit to you that no one has taken up arms against the federal government en mass recently. You see the occasional "lone wolf" crazy person out there. But that has no real chance of replacing our government or enacting change. Under what scenario do you see civilians taking over and killing our leaders in DC (or any state for that matter) to prevent government overreach? I say that will never happen again in the US.
  2. One word (or is it multiple letters strung together in some cryptic code): http://www.wolf-pac.com/
  3. Good. This is exactly what we need to do. Screw you people who counted on government handouts and those who loaned us money! Let's just default on our debts and declare bankruptcy. This is exactly what we wanted when we elected someone who is like a smart person and a very stable genius businessman.
  4. This is what you get when you have the price war for cheap flights. Gone are the days where flying was expensive such that the vast majority of people were business people or the well to do. Now Joe Blow from any shithole county can afford a flight and because they bought the ticket, they deserve to act or bring whatever they choose onto the flight. This is progress, ladies & gentlemen. Progress I tell you. Luckily I haven't seen any out of control animals, but have seen my fair share of out of control children and adults who board the plane so sick they belong in a hospital. I've got a co-worker who told me about her sister that wanted to come visit but the only reason they didn't is because they were too ill to drive. If they could have made it into the car, they would have got on the plane.
  5. Why would you single out Africa? There are plenty of "shithole" countries out there that are not in Africa...
  6. Bill You just don't understand. You see Michael Wolff exaggerates everything. You all believe that Bannon says this: But that is just an exaggeration. What Steve Bannon actually said was this: See the difference?
  7. I would have to agree. A 100 lb girl under anything is much hotter than a 170 lb guy on a 170 sq ft main any day. Sorry, couldn't resist.
  8. I don't know. Sounds like Carrier is winning with this one... 1) They get free publicity with a presidential visit. 2) They get tax breaks. 3) They'll get relatively little negative press for this move. 4) They can replace those lazy overpriced American workers with good hard-working Mexican workers. 5) The only unemployed "that matter" will get their golden parachutes. So it really isn't that big of a deal. With this amount of winning, it is almost too much to handle.
  9. I'm sorry, I just don't get what all the hype is about. This is not Trump attacking or disrespecting anyone. I'm sorry and it is sad that you feel that way. But the fact of the matter is that this is another case of Trump "telling it like it is"! Finally we have a politician who is not afraid to say the truth and doesn't cower behind some political BS. EVERY person in the military knows that when they sign up they are putting their lives on the line to protect our FREEDOM. We should all be glad and rejoice/celebrate the fact that he died so that we can continue to have an open press and criticize the government, carry our AK47s, not have government solders living in our houses, and propping up corrupt rulers in countries friendly to our corporate interests. I for one say thank God he died for without his death we would be overrun with leaders who are incompetent buffoons that have no sense of empathy.
  10. I believe that no Republicans think "tax cuts spur economic growth, and that the wealthy invariably use their tax savings to create good high paying jobs for people." That is all just fodder for the peasants. The truth is more like "that they will personally benefit hugely from the proposed tax changes." In the realm of personally benefiting from the new tax laws or that they will continue to get huge bribes (campaign donations) from their donors.
  11. http://www.cnn.com/2017/09/17/us/neil-degrasse-tyson-on-climate-change-cnntv/index.html I don't know how you got "backpedaling" out of that. Please explain. Oh come on, it is plainly obvious that this is backpedaling. But if I have to walk you through it... Tyson said, "might not be able to recover." That is backpedaling from "won't be able to recover." And if a few years it will become "might be able to recover." Followed by "recovery is possible" And finally "recovery in process" You see. It is a matter of how you look at the statements. And besides, this whole climate change is all just a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese.
  12. I'm glad you agree too. This is what America has needed. We have been waiting for this for the past 8 to 80 years. Yes! Finally we are Making America Great Again. God is surely smiling down on us this day. His will be done. Long live the...(ok, I don't really want to get banned for a post like this )
  13. I have refused to evacuate my house during the past 4 hurricanes that came over FL. Does that mean I hate black people too? Please someone tell me. I really need to know if I'm racist!
  14. I want to know how you explain time zones if the earth is flat. Have these people never traveled? How do you explain getting on a plane traveling west, you are on the plane for 4+ hours, and you land at a time earlier then what your watch says. By that I mean based on daylight - not what someone else's timepiece says.
  15. No, I'm sure they would be happy with whoever Pence chooses. That is, unless Pence gets taken down with the Russia investigation also - highly unlikely, but wouldn't that be something...
  16. I don't really get why people are up in arms about this. Trump lies about everything else. Why should his statements here be any different? You think this is the one and only time he is not lying?
  17. Let's put this a little bit in perspective - I think that gets lost sometimes. That is the equivalent of someone today writing down the life and times of President Abraham Lincoln and the civil war - if we didn't have written language back then and nothing was ever written down about those times. Now how many of us would believe that I or anyone could write (accurately) about what was said during the Lincoln/Douglas debates?
  18. Here is something to consider. I've owned 2 rigs in my skydiving life. I weigh about 165 lbs (without rig). My first rig I bought was used. It was for a 190 parachute. I kept it and jumped it for about 3 years. Then I bought a brand new rig to fit a 150 main/PDR143 reserve. I've had that rig now for something like 13 years. In this rig I've had a Firebolt 149, Stiletto 135 (with logo on bottom), Sabre 2 120 (this was just a demo), Comp Velo 111, and Comp Velo 103. All of these canopies had fit in the rig and I have no issues with "loose" packing. Although the 103 if it wasn't brand new could be considered a little loose. So if you are choose your canopies right and wait a little bit, a rig can last a long time and have plenty of options for future advancement.
  19. It is plainly obvious that the science of minimum wage increases is not settled. Some say it will be beneficial other say not so much. Therefore, what should be done about it? What we need to do is absolutely nothing until the science is settled. Or maybe even decrease the minimum wage to the level of the good old days when I had a minimum wage gob earning $3.35/hour. All this discussion is pointless and we should not be burdening small (and large) businesses with this until the science is settled.

    FIASCO

I'm sure they will get right on closing that loophole in like 4-8 years.
  21. Sources? I don't need sources. First of all I would not trust the data from the government run media or alternate right/left wing media. I did my own study and am my own source. And I will tell you again and this time with authority that these are the facts of the situation. If we throw out the 65,844,610 votes cast for Clinton, then Trump would have won by a landslide. So much so that it would be the greatest margin in US history. It would be a tremendous victory. Great, and stuff...
  22. That is because there were 65,844,610 illegal votes cast for Clinton. If we throw all those out Trump won by a landslide. Get with the program, man...
  23. It better be! That is the whole reason we voted for him. He is going to build the wall and Mexico will pay for it. Trust me. Now if Mexico refuses to pay for the wall then Trump as commander and chief needs to send the military into Mexico and force them to pay. Either that or just take their (natural) resources.
  24. I wonder why these guys were charged with anything? Was Dick Chaney charged for doing the exact same thing? Or is this some type of local Texas law that had no bearing on Chaney and legislators thought would be good to enact because Texas people are too stupid to not know shooting other people while hunting is unacceptable.
  25. I haven't been following this that closely. I was unaware that contact related to US policy happened any time before the transition period.
