  1. my wine recommendations (under the idea that you aren't a big wine drinker): For an Italian white, I'd recommend the Orvieto. The Orvietos that I've had are very smooth, not very acidic, and go down easily with most entrees. The texture is almost soft if I remember correctly. I'm not as into the red yet. As for american wines, Threfethen is always highly recommended. It's pretty popular and consistent between vintages. As for reds, again, I've spent more time on whites so far, but Pinot Noir is silky and smooth and again a good pick. If you want something *different*, the French Chateauneuf du pape is to try. It's sort of spicy with an earthy taste. I couldn't decide if I liked it or not, it was different. Try one of the dessert wines too. THe moscatos are sweet and have hints of citrus. good for one glass, but too sweet to drink with a meal. Hope this helps. Maybe someone who knows more about reds will chime in. __

    Unusual Experiences

I like to think of my whole day as an unusual experience. Within an 8 hour period today, I sent someone to the hospital, explained the importance of wearing pants, found that taco bell was out of gorditas, handled narcotics, stole a bench, and served ice cream to 20. each day is different, and unusual is the usual for me. __

  6. 1*:2:0 One jump with a messican from oklahoma. Two jumps, one funny 11 way and a 4way. We made Kris do RW @ ZHills, and he got muffed. Also came really close to getting thrown out of Chilis on Sat night with Happythoughts, galen, kris, heather, james, and ron. oops. 2 for 1 is NOT always a great idea! __
  7. A man at my assisted living turned 89 today. After we blew out his birthday candles (we had a party for his family, etc), he told everyone that it didn't matter how many days there were, but what happened in those days. If my thought process is still in tact liek that, then sure. keep me alive. but if not, bah. __
  8. i never knew jerry's last name. he was always "jerry with the really funny accent." he some how got my phone # when i lived in philly and left some FUNNY messages!! i'll be at zhills for new years. My ridiculous job doesn't let me travel much. __
  9. Speaking of CSS, is anyone in touch with an older guy there named Jerry? I met Jerry at a few CSS boogies a few years ago. He was a riot! If anyone sees him, tell him Cross Keys Stacy says Hello. __
  10. Actually, Clay took me to his parents house too, where I had to keep him awake during general conversation with his mom and dad. But he also took me to some redneck place that was a hooters-wanna-be place. __
  11. Hopefully somewhere where men in short tight shorts with big boobs will serve you cheap beer, to get you back for where you took me in Atlanta! __
  12. shouldn't that also read "and trouble with Stacy" ? __
  13. no offense, but if it has been sitting in a closet for a while, the corks are dry and the pads probably need replaced. gross, but moths get in there. a bundy is a student model, I'd say $200 is good, since whoever buys it will probably have to have it overhauled (new corks/pads, oil/springs). I sold my clarinet about a year ago. Got $700 for it, but it was a professional custom one with gig bags, music, reed making stuff. The instrument itself was over 1200 when new. Sucks dealing with depreciation!! __
  14. 3/4:0:0 3/4 gallons of rum in my rum punch that trashed the city of sarasota. Next weekend will be at ZHills to party and jump with the imported Mexican! __
  15. Boogies do tend to be more *fun* in a vacation sense. Camps can be a lot of fun too, just not the "stay up all night and do tequila shots until you puke" sense. As for money wise, you're lucky! I spend waaaaaaay more at boogies. ;c) Camps are great places to network and up skills in a small amount of time. Boogies are great for meeting people frm all over and attending epic parties. __ __

  21. older people are funny. There are a few married couples in my assisted living. they have later stages of dementias and alzheimers disease, but still can remember to tell each other to tie shoes, put on a sweater because it is cold, it's kinda neat to watch.
