I had a similar situation in January. Had a job that I *could* have loved, but the upper management made it impossible. I worked16+ hour days sometimes, on call 24/7, it was obnoxious. I quietly found a new job and then tried to be civil about giving notice. I gave 3 weeks instead of two so they could have more time to replace me. I found that being considerate got me no where. I felt like I lost 5 months of my life working there. I ended up writing some nicely worded constructive letters to the corporate office in Seattle. NO changes may have taken place, but at least I know I wasn't silent about things.

my mom sent one to my dad on his 40th birthday. He's a VP of a large hospital system in Baltimore, and she had the guy go in during a board meeting. The telegram guy was dressed as tinkerbelle and made my dad close his eyes, make a wish, then sang some really humiliating songs. Perfect.

Florida Hurricane Season - What's the risk in June ?

June isn't too bad. Our heavy hurricane season is August-October. June will be a little warm, but noticeably humid. Usually in June we have afternoon showers around 4-5 PM that last about 30 mins then things brighten up a bit. just consider it a dinner break built in. With pretty much a daily rain shower, be careful if planning to camp. -

I used to live in palm beach county. I ALWAYS took the turnpike up to orlando. I could do the trip in about 2-2.5 hours on teh turnpike. 95 and I4 just seemed very roundabout when I looked at the trip.

I know a fabulous rigger in Palm Beach County who would do a check so thorough on yor gear that he could tell you how many stitches are in each parachute. congrats missy!

you taking 95 or the turnpike?If you ar etaking 95, Sebastian, Titusville, or Deland aren't toooo far. If you take the turnpike, Lake wales or Sebastian probably.

I love florida too. I can go kayaking in the mangroves, scuba diving in reefs better than what I saw in Cozumel and *dive destinations*, swim with manatees, rays, and huge turtles, throw a rock and hit a turbine DZ, go to the beach at any minute... there's bad weather anywhere you can live. We have a lot less days here that are totally washed out.

Without going into specifics- I've made a few bad financial choices in my young adult years leading to some debt (I will not specify the amount). I'm working my tail off and repaying it. It's easy to scrape some edges and come up with an extra $50 here and there to put towards repayment, but you really have to have the mindset that you can do it. Moving threw a small wrench into my plan, but in 6 months I've managed to put a dent in it each month. I keep an excel spreadsheet and have goals to reach every XX amount of months. There are tons of free calculators on line that will let you input how much you owe to who and at what percentage rate, then it will formulate the quickest way to pay it off. Most creditors if you call them and explain you are trying to pay it off, they will lower an interest rate for you if they see an earnest change in habit. Unless you deal with Bank One, they are just butt nuggets.
