Al Kruger is part of Pieces of Eight and has been jumping with a hook for many years. Do you have an appliance for your lost limb? If not, can one be fitted for it? He packs for himself, does accuracy and a wonderful skydiver. Talk to POE and see what they suggest. FYI, he once had a team called "captian hook and the sky pirates" a LONG time ago. I'm not trying to criticize, nor be your mother. All I'm saying is try to be patient in the growing up part, that's all. We like good jokes as well as sick ones, but we are all adults here (age wise) that is, maybe not mentally but some of the things said on this site get very x-rated at times and I, at least, don't like to encourage that to young ones. It looked like you're trying to "fit in" by putting in that stuff, and you don't need to. Just be yourself and you'll fit in just fine. Glad to have you here and interested in skydiving. I wish I had found it at your age. Good luck with it and save your money, you'll need it. Get good grades to make lots of money in the job world to afford it. (grown up speech over) promise!

Mock newspaper or not, the subject matter is the same. Don't try to be "just like us" yet, you have your whole life ahead of you. I remember when I was your age and all I could think of was wanting to be OLDER but ya know what, now that I am, it's going way too fast. Relax and enjoy your youth while you have it. Skydiving will still be here for you "tomorrow". Don't try to " grow up" too fast, ok? SKYDIVING GAVE ME A REASON TO LIVE....

No, but I know that the "pond swoopers" either have 2 rigs (1 without a cypress) or are lucky not to dunk themselves or make a great living to afford to replace that stuff all the time. lol I've seen kits sold by Airtec for waterproofing the cypress, but as far as I know, it's for the military, but don't quote me on that. When your post said "training", that's what I thought you were concerned with. SKYDIVING GAVE ME A REASON TO LIVE....

I did mine at Perris and they gave me a harness with a round parachute and in the pool I went. I don't think most DZ's make you use expensive gear for water training. If that's what you ment. SKYDIVING GAVE ME A REASON TO LIVE....

I have found myself in some sort of funk this week, kind of a depression I guess, and was wondering if any of you have felt this? I'm thinking it's kind of like the "full moon" thing, only this time it might be because of the planets aligning up. Bill Von, I'm sure you would know something about these effects

I've jumped with him many times. The first time was at Lost Prairie and he stated that if he spotted anyone "out" he would buy beer. ....He bought beer...4 of us landed in the middle of a flooded sheep pasture. DON'T GET EXCITED GUYS, nothing happened The next time I saw him was at WFFC in 94 and I won't discuss what I saw him doing on stage with the wet t-shirt contest. I worked in an auto parts dept. and the mechanics, one day, brought in a triantula to try to scare me with. Needless to say, my aunt had one at the time, for a pet, so I knew how to handle them, so I took the huge spider out of the coffee can he was brought in and walked around the shop showing everyone how he would crawl up my arm and stuff. The mechanics ran like scared little boys and never messed with me again. SKYDIVING GAVE ME A REASON TO LIVE.... -
