$10K, WTF! I wouldn't buy a ring that expensive if I was a millionaire. That's just retarded, I'm sorry....$10K for ring....please The Original Cabana Boy!

I'm confused did you get engaged to someone you found out was gay? Yep I discovered he had no balls which would be why we are no longer married, and I hooked up with a guy with balls to spare. Ouch! The Original Cabana Boy!

QuoteI love my ring. But yes, it is a bit crazy that my husband's ring only cost $300 whereas mine cost over $3k. Quote $3K!!!!! Sweet Jesus, did it come with a parachute? The Original Cabana Boy!

MEN-pay attention. Women-you will understand perfectly

Guys will sacrifice a little Sanity to get someone a little better looking. Then they deal with the drama from the crazy person and wonder why they are so miserable. Eventually, they get tired of it. Quote That pretty much sums it up for me The Original Cabana Boy! -

You guys do realize you can have a relationship without drama, right? You just have to find the right girl! Skymama, I will pay you to help me find a relationship without drama. On the other hand, my drama meter is very sensitive. The Original Cabana Boy! -

If they weren't equal in the relationship in the first place and they need some sort of physical reminder to be equal...that relationship seems doomed. I'll try explaining it from my standpoint and what I did and how I feel. The ring I bought Morgan cost more money then I could truely afford, but I was able to call in some favors, do some bartering and get it. Its not super expensive as rings go, just under $2k and I was disappointed that there was no way I could spend more then I did. Very disappointed. However, Morgan loves the ring and has since the day I gave it to her. That is my return, my reward is that 1. she said yes and 2. she said yes and 3. she really likes the ring. That was my return and it has made me happy beyond words. I honestly can't wait for our wedding in October (even though we're basically living like a married couple now), its been a long time (we've been engaged for over a year) and the date is now getting closer and closer and I'm getting so much more excited. I guess I could understand that. Congrats on finding the one for you btw. It just seems like all of my friends that "popped the question" were pressured into buying expensive ass rings. In my opinion, and only my opinion, a lot of women pressure men into buying these crazy expensive rings. I just think that kind of money could be used on something more practical. Like a retirement fund, savings for a home, ect, ect. The Original Cabana Boy!

What???? I'm serious, call me superficial but it doesn't make any sense to me. I'm just giving my opinion, that's all. The Original Cabana Boy!

Most of the callers mentioned how this makes them more "equal" in the relationship. Thoughts? I totally agree with that, even though the thought of marriage makes me nauseous. I will never understand why men spend thousand of dollars buying engagement rings when they, in return, don't get shit. Is there a legitimate explanation? The Original Cabana Boy!

Just wanted to see if any of you have had close calls during freefall... I guess you could say I had one this past weekend. I made my eighth sit fly last Saturday during a three way. I had one of our vidiots go along and luckily the jump went really well. Anyway, to make a long story short, at our planned break off altitude I thought I had the other two jumpers accounted for. When I turned to track away, one of the jumpers was right in front of me. Luckily I tracked right over the top of her without colliding into her. Needless to say it scared the shit out of me! When I got on the ground, I apologized left and right and of course, like most jumpers, she was cool about it. I'm cool with it now but it really bothered me for a couple of days. I just kept thinking of how close I came to colliding with her. Anyone else have any similar situations? The Original Cabana Boy!

For me, it's a million reasons.....the adrenaline rush, 60 seconds of complete freedom, the feeling of living my life instead of watching it go by, but most importantly, the people are what keeps me coming back. I've played just about every sport that there is to play. I've never been bonded with people so quickly in any other sport like I have with skydiving. I kind of compare it to being in a combat zone. When you put you life in the hands of others and others put their life in your hands, bonds are made that will last a lifetime. Oh yeah, there happens to be a lot of hot chicks that skydive also.....that could be my #1 reason, who knows The Original Cabana Boy!

I found this on google. Scopolamine, which causes amnesia, was introduced in 1902 and used up until the 1960s. Injected with morphine, this analgesic-amnesic technique known as "Twilight Sleep" provided painless birth. However, "Twilight Sleep" had its downside. Not only did it completely remove the mother from the birth experience, a growing concern in the 1950s, but it also caused neonatal depression. In 1953, investigators at HUP studied the uses of n-allylnormorphine in the prevention of neonatal depression through predelivery injection to the mother or directly to the newborn after delivery. These investigators were Drs. James E. Eckenhoff, George L. Hoffman, Jr., and Lonnie W. Funderburg (from the Departments of Anesthesiology and Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the Harrison Department of Surgical Research). The Original Cabana Boy!

Saying how you feel: maturity, or desperation?
OrangeJumper replied to kelel01's topic in The Bonfire
No one is out of anyones league! WTF you got with this "out of your league" shit? People are people. If they place themselves on a pedastal and think they're better then others.. "Fuck them" Now on to the question... I would feel it's a mature way to respond to a situation. You like someone, you know they're not in a relationship. Let them know. I totally agree with Slappie. Just let the guy know. If he doesn't like it or he isn't responsive, fuck him. There are a million other guys out there waiting. That's my philosophy anyway. The Original Cabana Boy! -
