  1. I was afraid of him. As it turns out, he is some really evil and scary sounding figment of my parents' imaginations which was used to scare me into behaving. it didn't work "You did what?!?!" MUFF #3722, TDSM #72, Orfun #26, Nachos Rodriguez
  2. I think it is a cool idea. hope she knows if he is a traditional kind of guy or not. "You did what?!?!" MUFF #3722, TDSM #72, Orfun #26, Nachos Rodriguez
  3. Damn, that was way too funny... read a little too much hitch hiker's guide have we? "You did what?!?!" MUFF #3722, TDSM #72, Orfun #26, Nachos Rodriguez

  5. I had it bad. I got yanked out of the door by my AFF instructors who susequently had to pull for me. I trusted the equip but it took me some time to trust myself. I love exiting now but still have to learn to slow down and relax sometimes. New types of exits still make me nervous I meditated on the way to altitude. It also helps to jump with someone you trust and do a bunch of different exits "You did what?!?!" MUFF #3722, TDSM #72, Orfun #26, Nachos Rodriguez
  6. quote from my post to bonfire WTF is wrong with people?? really sorry to hear that, poor girls.. a public, well publicized public execution would be appropriate here. I did much work in the public schools and found society failing our children in many cases We need to teach them: Integrity: the courage to do what is right this is first. The next fall under Integrity. Respect: Respect for yourself and others remembering respect is earned not granted Responsibility: for your actions AND inactions Honesty: to yourself and others but not brutally so Accountibility: you did it you own it. Be a MAN (as in Human being) Take your punishment and learn from it. Be a good example. There are many other good qualities. I feel these are the root of most. Today's society is full of instances where we make excuses for our bad behavior in order to shirk our responsibilty and hide from accountability. Our disdane for those around us has become well developed in the last 30 years. It starts small (littering for example) and works up to bigger things (rape, murder, domestic violence, child abuse, and others) We the People in order to form a more perfect society must as a whole Say, "I am mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore." the bleeding heart judges, politicians and lawyers who let these multiple repeat murderers, rapists, child molesters, spouse (SO) abusers back on the street to offend again should have to be held legally accountable for THEIR ACTIONS that result in harm to society. Make prison miserable, make the prisoners grow their own food, make them earn their keep. Consider the average cost to keep someone in prison (not to mention how expensive it is to keep someone on death row) is approx $50,000. Multiply that by the roughly 2,300,000 people in prison (according to straightdope.com) that comes to $115,000,000,000! What could we do with 115 billion? Universal healthcare for US citizens? I don't know but it would put a dent in something. End Rant "You did what?!?!" MUFF #3722, TDSM #72, Orfun #26, Nachos Rodriguez

  8. If she had gotten out of the car and was respectful, would she not just gotten quitely arrested? Was she breaking the law by speeding or driving on a suspended Lic? Her speeding and subsequent failure to exit the vehicle at the request of the uniformed officers (a lawful order) are crimes. If she had not been speeding or driving on s suspended lic this never would have happened. If we do something wrong and we get hurt as a result, did we not still do something wrong to start the chain of events that ended in us getting hurt? "You did what?!?!" 12. I would be honest with her. Give her a couple of reasons, one being the distance but don't say it is anyone's fault. Definately do not burn any bridges. 2 years is a good amount of time to spend with someone. I dated a girl for about a year then she broke up with me. 15 years later, we are still great friends. We go to lunch and hang out with her kids. She is my best friend. "You did what?!?!" MUFF #3722, TDSM #72, Orfun #26, Nachos Rodriguez

  15. Having been in a similar mood many years ago, I can only hope you are kidding. If you are not, seek help. Sometimes a short stint on prozac or zoloft is all you need to even things out. other times more long term. I too have a great deal of shit. I also have friends and family and skydiving. When I take a step back I always see there are those who are worse off than I am and realize how good I really have it. Please know you have friends too. edited to add: I recently had a skydiving friend kill herself using pills and booze. she only saw the pain in the now. she left behind many friends. My Sister also killed herself. She used a pistol. You DO NOT want to do that! Skydiving is all about living life. We "Commit Life" every time we jump. I jump and hang out with friends, help others...
