  1. My emergency contact on most waivers and official forms is "proper authorities". If I am involved in an accident I want them to contact the right people. Screw any relatives I might have out there that might possibly give the slightest shit. Send me off in the meat wagon and if I don't make it get rid of the body. People have better things to do than to here about me fucking up. Ed
  2. It can happen to some cut guys too. It all depends on how they were cut. Some circumcisions remove the frenulum also. ed
  3. Doen't sound like you two are talking about the same "banjo" ed
  4. Lost? yep. Haven't bother looking for it either.
  5. Don't much like any temps above 65 F. 40-50 is good if you're doing any physical work. After it gets past 75 I have a hard time getting motivated if I'm not getting paid.
  6. what is 6 in Turtle years?
  7. What's the legal age for a turtle? If you're legal, we can talk. Ed
  8. I've never thought of Turtle as a hottie. Cute yes. Hottie no. Ed
  9. Darius, email me and let me know who you went through. We have some excellent instructors and shops in our area. I would say it sounds like they haven't a clue about instructing and a professional image to say the very least. Might be worth trying to get you $$ back and going somewhere else. Ed
  10. 50/ month, full coverage. 2002 s-10 pick up.
  11. Thats what I was thinking, but I rewatched several times and still couldn't find it. It is pretty funny if he took himself out. Ed
  12. If you go to the local hardware store you will find a bunch of door knobs that are ADA compliant. These are the ones for differently abled people. Levers on either side. You can also get some that lock on one side so Karma wouldn't be totally free range. Dogs (and cats) will learn this pretty quickly (maybe cause they are curious). The knobs aren't that expensive. Ed
  13. Where did the ball come from? Only saw it after the fact.
  14. I always knew that if you hurled your body at a firm object at high speed it could turn out fatal. I have unfortunately seen so many serious injuries and fatalities that I can't even remember them all. It is part of what we do. It sucks, but we don't stop living our lives because of it. If someone doesn't think that they can die or get seriously fucked up jumping, I would have to question their grip on reality. Ed
  15. I almost always sleep in the dark.
  16. Let me rephrase by what I mean when I say "no work". There are no jobs in my area that are paying a living wage with benefits for skilled tradesmen at this time. Health care is big and lawyers are doing ok. If I wanted to work for crap wages and no benefits then I could do that in a minute. I however do not need to work for poverty wages to be broke. My choice. I am just looking for an area of the country where I can go and work in my field for fair wages and benefits so that my future will be secure. Working for anything less is pointless to me. I realize that I am in a unique situation, being able to be choosy and all. I could find work today if I was willing to flip burgers, or wait tables but I am not. If this drags on for two or three years then I might be forced to take that route, but I think that I will be able to relocate well before I reach that point. Thanks for your input though.
  17. Without getting into a political discussion. (This isn't SC) What is the economy like in your neck of the woods. I live in the Northeast (Western Ma.) and I keep reading and hearing news stories about how strong the economy is but I know a bunch of people (over 50) that haven't worked in 4-5 months and some that haven't worked in a longer time. Myself included. We are all tradesmen if that makes a difference. Like I said I don't want political discussion I just want to get an idea about where in this country I should plan on moving if I want to work for a living. Ed
  18. Good to have you back. Go to the DZ that you feel most comfortable with. I don't know where in Alabama you are from but there is a great little DZ that offers static line down there with friendly helpful people that will keep you on track to becoming a safe and competent skydiver.
  19. Must be the one where you get drunk and fall down.
  20. In some areas you can find an electrical supplier that deals in used and reconditioned parts. If so then you might be able to find a used assembly (fuse holders) and replace it. If you kill the power to the panel you can remove the adapters by either tappin them out with the edge of a screwdriver, but be careful because if they don't loosen up you can bung up the threads enough that you won't get anything in or that piece out. If I was to make a service call to your house I would suggest replacing the old panelboard with a new model. I don't know what market rates are in TN. but it usually takes me three to four hours start to finish for a simple panel change. Sometimes less if all the planets are aligned. I new panel with breakers also adds value to the house. If you really want to go nuts and throw money at it you could probably upgrade the service to 200 amps. (you probably have 60 or 100 amps now if it is orignal). That is usually an eight hour job (give or take). One electrician with a helper can usually get all but the most screwed up systems upgraded and finished in 6 hours. And yes I am a licensed electrician (in Ma.) . Any other questions please feel free to post or PM me. Ed
  21. I am proud to say that I helped Walt by getting him a jump in NH. 2-3 years ago. There wasn't an active DZ in the state at the time but my home DZ is on the border. Wasn't any more trouble than having a "bad" spot and arranging a ride back. There was never a doubt in my mind that he would finish his quest. Congratulations Walt. Ed
  22. Doesn't look safe for use in the water. Can't imagine her distress after a large wave takes her top off.
  23. Why would anyone do that? Let us hope that he hasn't and won't breed. People this stupid really affect the gene pool negatively. Ed
  24. I think you might refer to it as marathon. Sea kayak is what I would call it. Long distance type thing with some ability to handle the ocean. Ed
  25. I would like to try whitewater, but It looks like a lot of planning must go into an excursion. I figure that since I am so close to other types of water I can just go paddle after work. Seems like a good way to keep active and keeps you outside. After I figure this out I will probably pursue white water. Ed
