I always heard it was 24 hours between going scuba diving then skydiving. So if you dive before lunch on Sunday, then you can still dive after lunch on Monday!

If you get it custom made you can have it done anyway you want. If possible get at least the jumpsuit custom made. Depending on the helmet manufacture you can get it painted how you like and if you get your rig new then you can have any colour you want there. It just depends on how much you want to spend to get your colours.

So far I have packed for myself every jump since I got my own gear. -
According to the book "Parachutes and Parachuting" (Bud Sellick), it occourred isometime in the 1960's, if I remember right. As I recall, the book has a whole chapter on chuteless survival. Hmmm... "Chuteless Survival." I can just see the new reality TV show... She was still in the fuselage of the plane, which landed in snow. So it was not a "true" freefall.

I've had that a few times. The more common question I get is "How many tandems do you have to do before you can skydive on your own?" They are usually pretty surprised when I say none!

:3:0 Did a great 4-way with Dave(cheers) for my B-Rel 10 and a couple of other jumps. Had a pretty damn good sunday away from the DZ... Though still would have been good to do some more jumps on Sunday as well.

Yup after landing on the cloud I did a BASE jump off it, still holding the PC in my hand to throw out. I never actually thought of it as a BASE jump...

I had a dream last night, I was in a tracking dive and when I pitched my PC it got entangled with the bridle causing a PC in tow. I tried to untangle it with little success. So I landed on a cloud and untangled it. I walked around the cloud for a bit before continuing on my merry way, and had a good opening. Oh and clouds feel a bit squishy and wet to walk on...

Firstly fill out your profile so people know where you are. Also more details about where you are doing your AFF might be good. Talk to your instructors they will know your Op Regs and Local DZ regs better than anyone here.

Remember your CYPRES is meant to read your altitude in your burble. So if you are at 1500' and your throw your main, when you get stood up the pressure on your back changes and you will get a 2 out. Discuss this more with your instructors.

Why rush downsizing? If you don't downsize at least you'll still be around to downsize later, if you do - then you might not be around long enough to realise it was a mistake. I recently watched a low-number jumper mess him self up with a canopy loaded at 1.5-1.6, it aint pretty.

I usually have mine set to break off altitude, pull alititude and hard deck.

I am a horrible sleeper as well. If I am thinking about the next day I have a lot of trouble sleeping, the more I want to sleep the harder it is. It sucks, when I know I am going to the DZ the next day I can usually guarantee I will only have a few hours sleep. I'm getting better though.

I was never on my parents auto insurance. When I bought my car I put in in my name and insured it in my name. I know it would have been cheaper to put it in my parents name, but I like to do things myself.

The only time I got carded buying alcohol when I was underage was the day before I was 18. The guy was looking at my ID scratching his head and goes "Man my maths is terrible" I said "I am 18 in 5 hours" Then he put the sale through.
