  1. Not at all. My neurologist told me if someone is around, all they need to do is roll me on my side. You are not suppose to try and stick anything in the mouth to keep me from biting my tongue. He said that would happen in the onset of it. But that's about it. Since I am not epileptic I did not ask if it applied accross the board with all seizure. But I sure don't want to ever have one again. I didn't know anything but it freaks some people out.
  2. I sure do not have a problem with using a conservative canopy, even when I get though my AFF an off student status. I guess I will always have that fear. I just want to be as safe as possible. And the idea of jumping without a cypress is a little scary to me. Thanks for the advice, that was one of the things I wanted to find out. I know some DZ’s do not require it, but in my case I do! I certainly do not want anyone to get hurt trying to help me out, just in case. Like you said at least I will land with rag over my head! After 3 tandems, I am ready to go on to AFF, just had some worries, thanks for the advice and encouragement.
  3. Hello all, I had 2 seizures about 9 yrs ago. I have had an MRI just a few months ago before I did my 1st tandem. I want to go straight to AFF but I still have some reservations. Both were out of the clear blue, I was told I didn't have a seizure at the hospital the 1st time and was sent home. The phone rang when I got home as I was talking, apparently I had another one as my end went silent. Ambulance was called. They were within a few hours of each other. My neurologists said that he had no idea why I had them, put me on dilantin for 3 yrs. I felt no warning at all. Have been on 3 tandems, 2nd we did 3 rolls out of the plane, into arch then we did a 360 in both directions. I had no problem, just the greatest time of my life. The folks at my dz do know that I have had them, and my doctor said everything looked good on the last MRI. But it's still in the back of my mind. Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.
  4. What cuties! Sorry can't help, but I do remember those days. It is so wonderful to watch the little ones get so excited. Hope you find just what you're looking for. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!
  5. Bingo, that is why women get pissed off when someone leaves the toilet lid up. Not only do you hit the porcelian in the middle of the night, but water too!!! GRRRRRRRRRR
  6. ROFLMAO..... I can really only remember peeing in the swimming pool.....along with the other 100 kids in the pool doing the same thing. I knew I wasn't the only one. Now I really feel alot better!!
  7. well speaking for myself skymamma, i have been laughing my behind off!!!! lol to funny
  8. Oh believe me when I tell you, somethings are better left unknown.
  9. That's right IanHarrop, you have to drive them for a while before you know if they are solid! lol
  10. Us men need something to show we have bigger balls thatn you gals. And for the females that skydive, well now you understand why you get so much attention at the dz, we are scared. Just want to know what ya'll are scared of...we might have more balls than some of the men? Well hate to tell ya, not saying i'm one of them, but i know women who DO have more then most men. So it really has nothing to do with balls, a man can screwup just as well as a women. My safety is the most important thing as well as people who are in the sky with me. That don't take balls, it takes skill and lots of training.
  11. Thanks for the welcome and hope to get my AFF ASAP, so hopefully i will be seeing some of you folks soon. I can not wait to get back in the sky!!!!
  12. Hello, I have been checking out the site for a couple of weeks now. Yes, I did a tandem jump and was hooked. The second time was even better, now to find the money and time for AFF. I dream about jumping! This is a great site, love the photos So Hello to all!!
  13. Well, same boat here. Almost 8yrs. I knew we didn't get married for some reason! Sure will help when he gets really PO'd over skydiving, no divorce. I think it's time for a trade out here too. LOL I would almost take bets on mine!!! Because I am going to skydive.
  14. Hi Unpacker, May be 2 for the count. Depends on what happens Sat. I am going to discuss getting my license, if it causes a divorce. I figure, it's wasn't a 2 way street anyway. Happy jumping, this is the only thing that seems to make me happy. I love it!!!!!
  15. For some reason, that was one of my first thoughts after my first tandem. Then after the second, I know it's a coming issue. I want to go again this Sat.! Guess we'll see how that goes.....lol Just kinda had that feeling......oh well, I've been divorced for less than that......roflQuote
  16. Well I actually meant that I couldn't stand the fact that I had so much fun and my other half is just put totally off by it. The first time was great but the second time was wonderful. When we exited the plane, we rolled out, and did 3 rolls. I'm new to so that's the only way I know to put it. We did a tuck and roll out and it was a blast. I want to go this Sat. Great stress relief!!!!!Quote
  17. Hello Everyone, I have read the posts and have the same feeling on skydiving. I did my first tandem on 9-11 this yr. Could not stand it. Went back last Sunday. It is totally out of the grasp of someone who has never tried it. My boss asked me if I lost a screw. But yes I'm hooked, the second tandem was just awesome because we did 3 rolls out, 2 360's and he just generally let me control the canopy to get the feel of it. Oh and I'm 43. I can not wait to go again, the only reason I'm going every weekend is money and other half. And one question? How many divorces has this addiction caused....lol.....might have another one to add....lol.....
